My approach to makeup has always been skin first, and I take so much pride in creating looks that mimic real life skin - freckles that look like you’ve had them since childhood, a glow that looks like you’ve had spent a night dancing, and cheeks that make you wonder if someone’s blushing.

I’m not naive to the fact that there’s artists out there that think what I do ‘doesn’t count’ because it’s not a full beat, but the thing is that I can do, but that ‘looks’ like makeup. I love the challenge of creating a full face that leaves you questioning how much is makeup and how much was just the canvas to start with. It’s the little details rather than the obvious ones.

If there’s one thing I’ve taken away from this year it’s how much I’ve elevated in my skills and attention to little tiny tweaks and details. I could spend an hour contouring a lip down to perfection if you let me 🤣

I think seeing a lot of discourse from artists particularly in the last few days surrounding Kylie Jenners VS makeup, and questioning why others wanted to recreate it so much really got me thinking. There still feels like a lot of hierarchy and comparison in a not nice way in the industry, but for me I just like it here in my little bubble, doing my thing, hoping one day it takes me far, whilst still admiring all forms of artistry!

Anyway, sorry if you get sick of seeing beautiful Ella on my page. I think for me this is one of the first times I’ve been truly so so proud of how what I’ve created looked both and real life and then translated on camera, and one of the first times I’ve looked at my work and not doubted myself.

Thank you for trusting me with your faces. I still have to pinch myself that I get to call this my job 💘

The 5 brands we’re adding to our bag this summer.

From statement sunglasses and everyday SPF to post-swim hair care, a refreshing face mist and the perfect sarong, these are the essentials that earn their place in our summer bag.

Consider this your edit of the brands worth knowing, packing and taking wherever the day takes you.

Save this so you know what you need to pack when the sun comes out. ☀️👙🌊

GRWM for the Melbourne races, except I’ve made the questionable decision to let my husband do the voiceover. 🏇🏼🍸

Apparently we’re calling my K-tip extensions **K-pop extensions** now 😂

Just giving the people what they want. Marc. 🎤

Should we make Marc’s voiceovers a regular thing? Because unfortunately, I think he’s found his calling.
