Aside from being denied entry to a bar until I presented my crows feet and forehead wrinkles as government-issued identification (and it worked 😩), the evening was fantastic.

Last night I got to take Kevin to a gallery opening featuring his artwork, which is honestly wild and completely deserved.

I’ve watched this dude grow from “I make art” to “my art is hanging on gallery walls,” and it’s been pretty incredible to witness. He’s worked his ass off, taken risks, kept creating, and continues to level up in ways that make me a ridiculously proud bestie.

Congrats, Kevin. Your art looked amazing. My wrinkles were convincing. We both had our moment. 💜

Two sides of the same country.
One bleeding out hopelessness. One doing a rebel yell for hope anyway.

This collab hits different because it came from both of us looking for an outlet to channel our pain, our heartbreak, our feelings of hopelessness and our fears about where we’re headed as a country. A country we call home and wish so badly we could love dearly, instead of grieving what it’s becoming.

Same subject. Two completely different responses.

Kevin created the fall.
Raina created the fight.

Eventually these will hang from a Justice scale as a full yin and yang piece, but for now they stand on their own:

grief and resilience.
collapse and rebellion.
despair and defiance.

Lady Liberty really said “I’m fine” while actively on fire. Very America-core.

It was chaotic at the expo and I didn’t get to post this. But, CHECK THIS OUT - THEY GLOW!!!! @deglassela knows an “embroidery guy” & he made these for Team Glow - @fromfreckles, @deglassela & @flyingwoolen. (@craftyiggy42 has been put on probation. We’re hoping he gets his act together and follows his PIP. If he’s successful, he’ll be gladly welcomed back to the team and perhaps get an apron 😂)

We wanted to get a group photo, but… chaos! 🥴😬😵‍💫😖😂😂

But, the aprons GLOW!!!!!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚

Earl is officially slithering at the Mesa Arts Center 🐍✨

100 panels. So many incredible artists. And my distinguished gentleman frog somehow secured a museum debut. (Top hat was non-negotiable.)

@rainjardendoes brought the popcorn 🍿 because obviously.

Huge shoutout to @korinaoswald for bringing this whole vision to life.

First time having my work in a museum and I’m equal parts honored, grateful, and internally screaming.

Go say hi to Earl. The frog prefers formal introductions. #stainedglass #communityproject #glassart

There and back in aboot’ 24 hours with my best mate @caliboyuk of @deglassela . 100% worth it! This was so so fun to see in person. @korinaoswald , who is the mastermind behind this behemoth, you’re Costco amounts of insane for taking this on. Thank you, thank you, thank you to you and your team of volunteers for creating such a magical collection of art from likeminded glass enthusiasts and artists across the globe. It was a dream to be part of it!

This is Chantilly Rainbow dichroic lace. It shifts. It shimmers. It knows it’s better than you.
Yes, we have it. 💖
Yes, we’re making People Jelly with it.
No, you will not survive seeing it in the light.
Fancy rainbow. Zero apologies.
Stay jelly. #dichro #dichroicglass #stainedglass
