I don’t know if there are enough words in the dictionary to describe the impact that bowling has made in my life. I know that it sounds silly to people outside of the game, but the community I found inside of it is unlike any other. From starting in 7th grade, knowing nothing about it, to playing throughout high school. From switching conferences, to switching schools completely. From switching methods of throwing, multiple times, I always found myself being supported by the people I surrounded myself with.
To coed season - we’ve had a rough relationship the last couple of years, I never got the opportunity to bowl on varsity, but I got to bowl with people who wanted to have fun, and that made it worth it.
To girls season - I honestly never thought I could be completely comfortable in an alley until I started girls season. I only bowled two years, and it was not enough, I don’t think it would’ve ever been enough.
To all of the people I got the opportunity to bowl with - remember, breathe, take your time, and trust your shot. Your bad frames mean absolutely nothing the second you step off the approach.
To all of the people I got to be friends with - the memories that I’ve made with all of you mean so much more than I can describe. You all mean everything to me.
To my team - you’ve always pushed me, and while not all of us have always gotten along, there will always be a special place in my heart for every single one of you.
Being given the opportunity to bowl the very last ball of my very last game meant absolutely everything to me, so thank you. One final reminder - always have fun, shake it off
I loved my time with all of you so much
