And we’re off! 🚀🇨🇦

The 2nd edition of the Vancouver Microsoft 365 Summit is officially underway, and what a beautiful example of what a community driven event can be.

Huge kudos to the organizers for bringing together not only the Microsoft 365 community, but also organizations that remind us of the human side of technology.

From the Consulate of Mexico in Vancouver, to Canadian Blood Services and the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, the event is putting people, community, service, and impact at the forefront of the technology conversation.

I’m truly grateful to be here, to learn, connect, and contribute as a presenter.

This is more than a tech event. This is community in action. ❤️

Road to the Summit is back, and this episode brings another well-known #MVP.

Our guest is Joanne C Klein, based in Regina, Saskatchewan. Joanne has over 20 years in IT and is one of the most familiar voices to in the #Microsoft365 world when it comes to #Purview. Data Lifecycle, Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk, she's worked across all of it. She's also the founder and CEO of NexNovus and a 10 time Microsoft MVP.

We talked about where compliance is heading, what organizations keep getting wrong, and what she's looking forward to sharing with the community.

Watch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gRbPuDpf

And if you want to meet Joanne and the rest of this year's lineup in person, join us September 2 to 4 at the Hyatt Regency #Vancouver for the Vancouver Microsoft 365 Summit.

Yesterday was the day to "Grow With the Right People" ✨

We wanted people to leave with more than a bunch of business cards, and they did.

It took a lot of hard work, focus, and execution to get here. Thanks Abel for putting so much heart into this. But last night, the room spoke for itself.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, asked real questions, shared openly, and brought an energy we could literally feel from outside the building.

To our sponsors @telusbusiness , PBY Ventures, @taxcatch , TN True North, Rois and Logisrch we couldn't have done this without you.

To our amazing facilitators @couragespacecoaching , @delacortemg @luisnjuarez, CharlotteWong, Reshu Choudhary, Matthew McCann, Ryan Spencer this wouldn't have happened without you and your incredible contribution.

This was the first one. There's more coming. 👀

And a million thanks to the one and only @paumendozam_seguros for this little gem of a video 🎥 you captured exactly what we were trying to build. 💛

Every smiling founder inside this elevator has made income their first priority. Is income YOUR first priority? 💰

If you’re a founder or business owner, ask yourself: do you have something people actually pay for RIGHT NOW? If yes, are you putting THAT THING in front of people consistently?

Here’s how I did it. I posted on LinkedIn frequently to define my value and identity, and sooner than later I became THAT GUY known for THAT THING that everybody wanted to pay for.

Most founders I meet post on LinkedIn for 3 weeks, get a little traction, then stop when it slows down, thinking LinkedIn does not work, without ever giving it the time or frequency to see results.

For income as your first priority, talk to Abel and Marcela at @incomefirst.official. For the credibility that enables your income, start sharing your lived stories. If stories are the part you’re stuck with, I would love to help you craft yours.

Are you a founder with an untold story to share?

Let’s make yours Visible 🍀

Getting together is how we build community. 💛

I’m grateful to have spent time with such an amazing group of people today. There’s something special about being in a room where conversations are real, connections are genuine, and everyone is intentional about helping each other grow.

That’s what I appreciate about @incomefirst.official—it’s all about putting Income First: Intention + Honesty.

Looking forward to more meaningful conversations and building relationships with great people. ✨
