For Days 1 & 2 of Philanthropy round, we shared one of the most meaningful chapters of Pi Beta Phi: our commitment to empowering children’s literacy with READ > LEAD > ACHIEVE. We believe in the power of reading as it gives every child the tools to write their own story✏️

Along the way, we found that so many of the stories we grew up reading hold a piece of what we’ve found here in Pi Beta Phi…

OH, THE PLACES YOU’LL GO- Dr. Seuss

Pi Beta Phi has taken us far beyond the places we could have ever imagined. Through constant support, new opportunities, and experiences that have shaped us, this chapter has encouraged us to grow into the best versions of ourselves.

THE GIVING TREE- Shel Silverstein

The greatest things in life come from learning what it means to give. Through our numerous Philanthropy events, fundraisers, and Champions Are Readers (CAR) program, giving back in support of READ > LEAD > ACHIEVE is the one of the most fulfilling aspects of our chapter.

CORDUROY- Don Freeman

It’s important to remember during the recruitment process that finding where you belong isn’t about changing yourself to be someone different. Rather it’s about finding those who make you feel loved for being yourself.

THE RAINBOW FISH- Marcus Pfister

Pi Beta Phi is a chapter made of women with different dreams, passions, and aspirations. We use our individual strengths to contribute to something bigger than ourselves.
