Did you know April is National Volunteer Month? ✨ At Variety KC, we’re taking this opportunity to celebrate the incredible volunteers who power our mission forward every single day. Whether you’re building adaptive bikes, cheering on Variety KC kids at adaptive sports clinics, or helping create unforgettable events like our Sweetheart Dance and Heart of Inclusion Gala - you are truly the heartbeat of the #inclusionrevolution ♥️

Our Variety KC family is celebrating this very important month by highlighting some of the incredible volunteers who go above and beyond to support our mission - event after event, year after year.

First up: Tyler Beebe! 🎩 Tyler’s dedication runs deep, and so does his passion for creating a more inclusive world. In his own words:

“Why I spend my time volunteering with Variety is almost impossible to adequately put into words. Providing children with disabilities the tools and equipment they need to just be a kid & make the most of the world is enough for me to do anything I can to help that mission. However, I have also seen firsthand through my own family how the Variety impact goes so much further than the children they are directly helping.

Simply put? I spend my time with Variety because Variety makes the world and the KC community a better place.” - Tyler Beebe

Thank you, Tyler, for being such an important part of the #InclusionRevolution. We are endlessly grateful for your time, heart, and commitment to providing all kids with the opportunity to Be Active, Be Social, and Belong!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM VARIETY KC! 🎉

Wow, what a year it has been! 2024 was truly one to remember and we are so grateful for every single one of you who helped to make it so special. Because of you, children of ALL abilities in our community have the opportunity to live without limits. You’ve helped provide life-changing adaptive equipment, access to therapy services, and created countless opportunities for inclusion—making a profound difference in so many lives ♥️

This year, we’re aiming to achieve the extraordinary and we cannot wait to share all of the fun that has been going on behind the scenes as we unveil some exciting new projects in 2025. But first, we have one ambitious goal - to gain 25 new Variety Heroes before the clock strikes midnight! ⏰

Variety Heroes are the heart of our mission, providing ongoing monthly gifts that ensure we can continue to break down barriers for children with disabilities. Becoming a Variety Hero is one of the most impactful ways to show your support and create lasting change in the lives of families who need it most.

Will you join us as a Variety Hero or make an end-of-year gift today? Your support means the world to the children and families we serve. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook stories today as a few current Variety KC heroes and families share their stories! 🎩

Every gift, whether one-time or monthly, makes a difference. Together, we can reach our goal of 25 new Variety Heroes and empower every child to Be Active, Be Social, and BELONG!

Happy New Year and cheers to another year of changing lives and working to make Kansas City the most inclusive city in the world! 🌟

A little ✨Feel Good Friday✨throwback to our All Abilities Clinic with the @kcroyalsfoundation this summer! What an INCREDIBLE afternoon seeing all of these smiles as they walked and rolled around the bases!

2023, you were most definitely one to remember! 🎉 What an amazing year filled with endless smiles, inclusion, breaking barriers, accomplishing hefty goals, and dreaming BIG! ♥️

Although this year held some heavy emotions as our Variety KC QUEEN of inclusion, Deborah Wiebrecht, retired in May - it also brought feelings of enthusiasm and excitement as she handed over the keys to her castle to our new Variety KC Team - Marc, Abby, and Ali! 🎩✨

It feels impossible to summarize the year of Variety KC accomplishments in words, so instead please enjoy a compilation of pictures and videos of many of our favorite moments! Although we will miss 2023, we are SO excited for all we have in store for 2024 😏🙌🏻 LET’S DO IT!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! ♥️
