New single alarm!! Next Friday we will release the second and last single of our upcoming album Everything Is Fine, called Slobfest. As you can guess, it’s about the millions of AI slob-pictures, texts and videos that are taking over the internet. Next Friday you will find out if we are happy about this or mad, you can’t win a refrigerator if you guessed right. Pre-save Slobfest would be appreciated! Link in bio

Smooth grooves, soulful melodies, and a little Friday magic. The queen herself @deshdrums links up with the legendary @delaney_hf for “Freaky Friday,” blending jazzy textures, warm R&B influences, and laid-back chillhop rhythms into a groove that’s easy to get lost in. United these prolific producers form the perfect soundtrack for slowing things down and easing into the weekend.

First review is here! Last Friday we performed our new music for the first time live at Orange Jazz Days in TivoliVredenburg. Arjan Klaver was there for Jazzism, and this is what he wrote. Thank you for the kind words! “The music flows, drives and breathes. In short: breathtaking.” Review translated from Dutch. Original published by Jazzism. This Friday we are going to play again at the lovely @haarlemjazzunderground ! #FLUX #EverythingIsFine #jazz #postrock

HAARLEM JAZZ UNDERGROUND - HOME OF HAARLEM JAZZ PART OF THE 023JAZZ FESTIVAL 09.10.26 FLUX EVERYTHING IS FINE CONCERT STARTS AT 10PM We're so happy that the 023Jazz festival is back and that we are once again part of this fantastic movement. To celebrate the return of the festival, we also invite a familiar face back into our underground. Willem Abelen presented the first album of his band FLUX in the Wolfhound cellar during the 2024 023Jazz Festival, and now he's back with a brand new album called 'Everything is Fine'. Last time the cellar was as full as humanly possible and minds were blown, so DO.NOT.MISS.THIS!! -------- FLUX is back, more intense and raw than ever. Following a successful self-titled debut, the quintet — led by saxophonist Willem Abelen — releases Everything Is Fine this autumn. Where the debut sounded hopeful, Everything Is Fine is a wake-up call about our relationship with AI and technology, and how unprepared we are for what's coming. Blending melody and electronics à la Donny McCaslin with through-composed structures in the vein of Brad Mehldau and Aaron Parks, FLUX operates at the intersection of jazz, electronics and post-rock. A sound equally at home in a jazz club and pop venue. BAND Willem Abelen - SAXOPHONE/EFFECTS Delaney Nelom - PIANO Tom Veltien - GUITAR Freek Mulder - DOUBLE BASS Yordi Petit - DRUMS

This Friday is a big one. We're playing Orange Jazz Days (TivoliVredenburg, 22:00), and on the same day we're releasing A Way Out, the first single from our new album Everything Is Fine. A Way Out is about technology and AI taking over more and more of our lives, and about the fact that we still get to decide how we deal with that if we act quickly. More on that soon. Pre-save the single through the link in bio and help us climb the Mount Everest of Algorithms... - FLUX

FLUX IS BACK! With a new logo, a new us, new photos, new website, and most importantly; new music! This February we dove into the studio to create a brand new album, about how unprepared we are for the increased presence of AI and technology in our lives. The music is rawer and louder than the first one, still something founded in jazz but with some electronics and post-rock added. If you’re interested, follow us on this journey (plz follow this new account and help us beat the Meta-monster). We have exciting news coming up, sooner than you think.
