That’s a wrap on year one!

Team New York closed out its inaugural season with a training camp weekend at @glensfallscc1912, where teammates competed in on-course matches and skills challenges as the final send-off for the 2026 squad.

From the first team meeting at Turning Stone in March, to hosting the first interstate match against Team Massachusetts, this team continually raised the bar and set the foundation for what Team New York becomes next.

We’re excited to see what 2027 brings!

The field brought the heat at Beaver Meadows for the Central NY PGA Junior Qualifier! A massive congratulations to our overall champions who survived 36 grueling holes to punch their tickets to the prestigious National Junior PGA Championship at the spectacular PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas!

Thomas Goodelle (New Hartford, NY) takes the crown finishing Thomas at -2 overall (70-72, Total: 142). Brevin Bennett (Norwich) and Cooper Layaw (Cortland) battled hard to finish T2 at +2. Bennett won the first hole of a sudden death playoff.

Delaney Abel (Corning, NY) gets it done! The dominant champ defended her title in style to earn her ticket to nationals. Rachel O’Rourke (Rome, NY) put up a fantastic fight to claim the 2nd place spot on the leaderboard and her spot at PGA Frisco!

🏆 From Pee Wee Champion ➡️ Junior Champion.

@delaneyabelgolf put together a dominant performance at Locust Hill Country Club to capture the 2026 RDGA Junior Championships Girls Division title.

After opening the championship with a career-best round, Delaney went on to earn a 14-shot victory and add another RDGA title to her resume after winning the Pee Wee Division back in 2021.

A special win at a special place — and another big step in her junior golf journey.

Congratulations, Delaney! 👏

Semi Finalist at The International Jr Masters 🌺

In great company this past week as I competed in my first @ijmgolf ! Finished with scores of 75-77 (+8 - 6000yds) , putting me at 2nd place for Medal Play and the number 2 seed. Won my first match play in extra holes and made it to the semifinals.

I’m so grateful to have experienced a tournament that has brought me so many great lessons and memories. Many rounds of golf (105 holes 😳) tested both my mental and physical abilities, but overcoming it all made me appreciate everything more.

This week wouldn’t have been what it is without the people involved. Jeff and Ann, two of the many constants throughout the week, thank you for all support and encouragement! Jayce and your family, thank you for making me feel like I was just at home and having Capri in my corner, she made my whole week 🥹 And to everyone I met or saw again, it was a great week with you all! Forever cherishing the good times this week 💕
