My tenure at Alley Taps was an ambitious rocketship ascending into the distance blazing behind a trail of shimmering memories, friendships, & love—those unique nights we spent together live forever in it’s own sacred window. Every single time y’all walked through the door that spaceship was reignited—as a collective community (staff, friends, & patrons) we took an authentic Nashville gem & rapidly enhanced its allure.

From a musical standpoint Alley Taps (before I was hired) was the first place I ever performed in Nashville—fast forward a few years I was booking showcases—I took immense pride & gratitude in having these incredible artists perform for our Sunday Spotlight Sessions. This is not hyperbole—every set y’all would f***’in make me cry—for 3 reasons:
1. This music is so amazing & moving.
2. I can’t believe you’re playing here.
3. Despite my self doubts, it shows that I’m respected by these artists I truly admire.

I encourage you all reading this to look up the acts booked & follow them. I also look forward to continue those sessions somewhere else in the near future.

I want to thank Graham Benson for giving me a metaphorical paintbrush & letting me (within reason) run wild with it. It doesn’t get much better than a gig that you care about where you’re given the opportunity to incorporate your personality & ideas to cultivate a bigger common goal. I enjoyed my run there & what a true bonus throughout said run I gained a friend.

To the Taps staff—we had such a ridiculously great time! I cherish y’all so very much & I look forward to seeing y’all down the road. I dare say I bet some of us work together again!

To everyone that supported me & Alley Taps during my tenure, before, & after thank you. Support your favorite local spots. Support your favorite musicians. Support your friends.

As historic Alley Taps comes to a close, our friendships do not—our love does not—& for now (see last slide) it may be last-call—but our memories & what we created lasts forever.

All the love.
