🇬🇧 Everyone speaks about the Alps as the ultimate proving ground of cycling. Long passes, famous summits, clean gradients drawn like rulers across the mountains.

But the Ardennes play a different game.

There is no rhythm here. No steady climb where you settle into your cadence and grind toward a distant summit. The road twists through valleys, forests and villages, constantly changing its mind. One moment you’re climbing at 6%, the next the road kicks to 14%, then drops brutally before rising again without warning.

The gradients never stay the same.
Your pacing never stabilizes.
Your legs never recover.

And the descents offer no mercy either. They are narrow, sinuous, technical. Sharp bends hidden behind trees, damp patches in the shade, roads that demand constant focus long after fatigue has taken hold.

In the Alps, you fight the mountain.
In the Ardennes, the terrain fights back every kilometer.

It’s death by a thousand climbs.
A relentless sequence of walls, valleys, and ambushes that slowly dismantle your legs, your rhythm, and eventually your mind.

This is why riders who come expecting “small hills” leave with a different respect.

The Alps are majestic.
But the Ardennes are ruthless.

🇬🇧 Never look back. It may be a trap.

Because the Ardennes don’t chase you.
They wait. They let you think you’re free, just long enough to forget what’s coming next.

Another bend. Another false flat. Another climb that bites harder than expected. You don’t ride away from this place, you go deeper into it.

You’ll know why turning back was never an option.

-

🇪🇺 HE DID IT 🏆 ! Victor de Terwangne, a.k.a. the Furibard, is crowned Resist & Ride Champion 2025. And because style matters, he gifted himself the title on his birthday. Classy. Happy birthday, Victor!

Already the unofficial king after setting the season’s Fastest Known Times on both the Hardennes GT 700 and The Ardennes Monster 1050, Victor could have eased off. Had a cup of tea. Got a massage. But nope. The man decided to show up for Ultimo Kilometro too — just to put a little pressure on his mates — and finished with flair, claiming an honourable place.

No climb, no hill, no rival managed to shake this guy, calm as a perfectly packed saddlebag. He wanted the Grail. He took it. With power, with grace, with Victor.

The Lord of the Ardennes is joined on the podium by two serious contenders: Arnaud Hendrix, third on the Hardennes GT 700 and winner of Ultimo Kilometro, and Adrien Guilmin, fastest time on the HGT 300 and all-time record holder on the Conquête des Ardennes Offroad.

Seasons like this? We want more.
2026, you better be ready.

TAM No 4 | D-1 • The Monster returns

🇪🇺 Tomorrow night, The Ardennes Monster will roar once again. It will spread its tentacles into every hidden corner and valley of the Ardennes.

It will push unsuspecting passers-by into unknown limits. It will shake more than a few off its back, too.

In recent years, it’s always been an alien from the sky who etched their name into the belly of the beast: @declerckkristof (2022), @g.force.cycling (2023), and Nick De Bruine (2024). Who will be next?

What to watch on the live tracking by … ?

– The opening bite to break free from the Namurois: who will dare set the pace?
– The back-to-back punch of the Mur and Thier de Huy, which usually tames ambitions. The chatter will stop.
– The Redoute Night: riders will see red stars.
– At dawn, the approach to Le Coffee Ride after an inaugural night… darkness will settle.

A huge respect and an absolute thank you to all our partners, without whom the Monster would be nothing more than a small creature.

🇫🇷 Demain soir, The Ardennes Monster rugira à nouveau.

We can already feel it… The Monster is waking up.
In just one month, it will rise again, twisting through forests, crushing legs, and carving stories into the roads of the Ardennes.

You can still register… but the last slots are vanishing fast.

🗓️ August 13, 2025

Will you dare to face it?
