THE PROOF IS IN. 🥃📸

Detroit, you really showed up for this one. 🖤

Our first-ever PROOF: A Detroit Photography Experience was everything we hoped it would be and so much more.

An evening filled with incredible photography, familiar faces, new connections, a little friendly bidding, and a whole lot of love for Detroit’s creative community.

Watching the artists see their work printed, framed, and celebrated on the walls was one of our favorite parts of the entire experience.

To every artist who trusted us with their work, every friend and family member who came to cheer them on, and everyone who walked through those doors to support local creativity: THANK YOU.

And a huge thank-you to our incredible community partners who helped bring this crazy little idea to life. We couldn’t have done it without you.

A special thank-you to Two James Spirits for trusting us to bring this experience into their space and creating an incredible limited-edition spirit featuring artwork by Nailah Jackson. All 20 bottles found homes!

This was our first PROOF, but we’re hoping it’s just the beginning.

Here’s to making more room for Detroit’s artists to be seen, celebrated, and supported.

Detroit, you are the art. 🖤

Every emotion was felt in these pieces 🎨❤️‍🔥 @youresofancystudio hosted a dope event showcasing some amazing local creatives who got the opportunity to be a part of something special. @wearestudiocreate had to pull up and take it all in. The art, the stories, the emotions, the people… this is what community is all about. Big congratulations to every artist who was a part of it, and shoutout to @youresofancystudio for creating the space for creatives to be seen, heard, and felt.

I am wildly busy working full time between my corporate job, and my photography business. And being a mom. I’m so exhausted sometimes I do not know how to get through certain days. But then there are wins like these: I’ve had my paintings exhibited digitally in both Canada and Switzerland this month via @artboxyofficial I have also had my photography published twice this year in two different magazines. There have been a lot of different accomplishments happening behind the scenes that I do not know how to post consistently about. But I do know this. Being a walking artist in all senses of the word (photographer, painter, poet, etc) is no joke to me. Seeing my work displayed is not ever something I thought would happen. And I know that there is more to come, because I’m determined to do it all. Even despite some very trying times that I am currently going through.
I humbly give all glory to the Lord for the opportunities that he’s presented me with even in trial and tribulation. And I thank my friends and family for their continued love and support in my life. And my lovely followers.
I think we are just getting started. ❤️

On 09.16.26, Significa Nada (Bachata Version)—or “SBACH,” as I so lovingly nickname it on all my .wav files—will be yours to dance your heart out to FOREVER.

I was shocked to find that the trailblazer, @dollyparton had passed. My children know who Dolly Parton is. I use the word “is” because she has left a legacy of joy, humanity and entertainment that the world may not see again. #trailblazer #womancomedy❤️ #carlawhitevideoninja #longlivethequeen #9to5
