Meet Aggie. She cannot do enough for us. “I love my guests.” Does it ever show. We’re in town because I was speaking for the hospital yesterday, and would you believe that one of the most meaningful things she said that she had done this year was taking care of a gentleman when his wife was in the hospital. She could tell one day that he was not doing well and she asked him if he needed a hug. Perhaps to her surprise he opened up his arms, and she just held him as he wept on her shoulder. That is so far beyond going above and beyond words cannot describe. Yes she loves her job, but she also genuinely wants to make sure people are cared for and supported. People like Aggie make this world a better place. The next time you’re in a hotel, please write a note of appreciation and if you can also leave a tip. Show people that the folks who care for you behind the scenes and make sure that you can travel safely and with comfort know that you appreciate that. #ForRecognizeOthersGreatness #thankfullmovement #roomattendant #deltasaintjohn #saintjohn

Our home away from home in Saint John was the Delta. It was a great location as it was downtown and everything was walkable (and we walked a lot!). The room was a good size and the bed was comfy. Parking was free for 2 nights and $20 for last night. There is a pool and a hot tub, which felt good after all the walking around we did.

Included with our room is a $20 each/per day breakfast voucher for MIX, the restaurant in the hotel. We did the buffet a couple days and it was okay. We got there late so hot things were a bit cold.

Yesterday morning we ordered off the menu. Gord got Crab Cake Benedict (Homemade crab cakes, poached egg topped with rich hollandaise sauce. Served with baked beans and fruit). He said it was good. I got Stacked Pancakes (Buttermilk pancakes, abundance of fresh berries, whipped cream and warm maple syrup). It was a big serving and I ate about half. Gord’s meal was $30 and mine was $18 and so we paid the extra $.

Yesterday’s light hitting the streets of Saint John was something else. 🌅
Took a slow walk down to the waterfront through Uptown, capturing the historic brick architecture and the harbour right as the sun began to dip. There’s a quiet charm to this city during golden hour that you just have to catch in person.🌇🧱⚓

64 years to the day after The Beatles first stepped into EMI Studios (now Abbey Road Studios) with Pete Best behind the kit, the Come Together Band stepped onto the Village stage to bring the music of the Fab Four back to life 🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏻‍♂️
