Bouncing back after a wild week. ⚡️

Work’s been more hectic than normal, and my body was cooked post hyrox but you know we can’t go too long without moving this beautiful body.

Lots going on in life, and the way I counteract the stress? I lean into more of it but the good kind.

Managed to prep my meals, take time for myself, weight train, get some runs in solo and with a bunch of friends, spend quality time with family, and last but not least, enjoy some amazing meals.

This Thanksgiving, I felt grateful. Grateful for the abundance in so many areas of my life, for new and old connections, for my loved ones, and of course, for God.

“You create the flow because you are the flow. Don’t fight it — move with it.”

Trust the process. Enjoy the ride. Have faith in where you’re headed.

He’s got you. ⚡️

HYROX Men’s Doubles Debut 👀

Honestly, all things considered, I’m really happy with how this race turned out.

From the moment me and @delwinn signed up, the goal was sub-60. With his running and my station work, we knew our strengths complemented each other well enough to make it a realistic target.

A few weeks out, we ran a 1:02:57 simulation and honestly, that gave us a lot of confidence.

The runs weren’t particularly fast. Our station transitions were sloppy. There were plenty of little seconds being left on the floor.

Clean those things up and sub 60 was right there.

But race day is never perfect 🤷🏽‍♂️

We lost some time figuring out sled lengths and lap counts, had a slight scare when I slipped during the burpees and almost donated an ankle to the HYROX gods 💀, and looking back, there were definitely a few runs where we could’ve pushed harder.

And we still finished 58 seconds away from our goal.

If anything, this race reminded us of a few things:

1️⃣Your partner doesn’t need to be good at everything you’re good at, they need to be good at the things you’re not.

2️⃣Simulations aren’t about proving you’re ready. They’re about exposing the places where you’re not ready so you can actually do something about them.

3️⃣When you miss a goal by less than a minute, you don’t have to wonder whether you’re capable of it anymore. You just found 58 seconds worth of homework. 😈

All in all, such a dope experience getting to see the other side of HYROX racing and sending it with an absolute DOGGG.

Proud of this one.

But yeah…

We’re running that shit back.

Final chip time: 1:00:57 ⏱️
