Never in my life have I been able to experience such a blessing that this production was, from the masterclasses to the tedious rehearsals, to the rotating sandwiches. I can never properly express my gratitude towards Dr. Phillips Center and all that they have done for me and to every person who put their heart and souls into this show.
Being trusted with a role as intense as Bernardo would not have been possible without such an amazing director and interns, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you Tony, thank you Connor, and thank you Cooper, you helped shape me into such a powerful character.
This show will always be held close to my heart and I will carry everything I’ve learned through this intensive for the rest of my life. I will never forget all of the friends I’ve made and I will always remember the memories we shared while making this beautiful show.

Thank you FMTI, for giving me the best experience for my last summer as a high schooler.

single-handedly the best theatre experience of my life. i could never be more grateful for the opportunities the Dr. Phillips Center has given me. above all, i thank God not only for this experience, but for the relationships i’ve gained through it.

to every friend who made these past two weeks so unforgettable, thank you. to my director, Tony, thank you for trusting me with such an incredibly beautiful role. i’ve learned and grown beyond what i ever thought possible in such a short amount of time.

to the entire staff at DPAC and the creative team behind West Side Story, thank you for the work you do and for the impact you have on so many young artists every single day. i’m beyond blessed to say that i’m one of them.

i couldn’t have asked for a better way to close this chapter of my high school theatre journey.

The past two weeks have been some of the most meaningful of my life, and I truly couldn’t have imagined a better way to close out my senior year. To every person who poured their heart into this experience, thank you. We came together and created something so much bigger than a show. In just four days, we built West Side Story, but more importantly, we built a family.

Thank you to the incredible creative team and everyone at the Dr. Phillips Center for believing in us and creating a space where artists are encouraged to take risks, grow fearlessly, and be unapologetically themselves. This place has shaped me into the performer and person I am today, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
Thank you for the lifelong friendships, the unforgettable memories, and the reminder that the most beautiful art is created through community. I’ll carry this experience with me forever. Mi familia por siempre 🇵🇷✨
