POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Film developed at @treehousehawaii

Photos from the last couple of years on set. From Le Petites Choses music video to working Governor’s Ball. Flying to LA to help my sister with her short film and getting to work with such an incredible cast+crew.

Eternally grateful for all the work and the people who show up to keep creating art and tell stories.

Raised on a cattle ranch in Montana and now based in Brooklyn, New York, Cam DeMars is a painter and director making images as dynamic as they are sublimely referential. We interviewed the artist for the debut issue of Drafting Table, and spoke about narrative, love, boxing, theology, and being the descendant of homesteaders.

You can read the interview with Cam in our inaugural issue - available in a free limited print edition launching next month.

Cam DeMars is drawn to combat sports for the feeling of presence.

Where thought drops and you’re fully, viscerally in the moment.

That’s what he’s chasing in his work too.

Across the Studio with Cam DeMars

In this conversation: the elusive artist persona, building a production company from scratch, marketing being an extension of your practice, two and a half years making a documentary about a man who lives alone on an island, and why his biggest fear is simply not being able to work.

Episode 10 of Across the Studio with Cam DeMars is out now. Link in bio. 🎙
