Behind the Scenes: Presenta(c)tion Praxis in der Walter Haymann-Stiftung.

„What would Walter see“.

26 inkjet prints at 12cm x 8cm, photographed with Walter Haymanns old lenses

For our Group show „on Site“ at the @walterhaymannstiftung I created 26 Kleine Prints that I photographed with Haymanns old lenses adapted to my digital Leica Camera. The show was produced in two and a half days, where I photographed for a day and a half, edited on my ipad in the space and then printed over at @zhdkcampus.

The images show my explorations through Haymanns living quarters and the adjacent neighborhood, captured through the vintage glas. It was an intense experience with rapid decision-making both in image- and print making.

While my kleine Prints are usually smaller in size I noticed how important the fabric of the depicted was to me, which would show best in the slightly bigger prints.

Big thanks to the foundation for trusting me with Haymanns lenses and letting me appropriate them!

You are warmly invited to the exhibition, which will take place tomorrow, 27 March, from 6 to 9 pm. Address: Haldeneggsteig 7, 8006 Zurich.

The exhibition shows the results of the seminar „Presenta(c)tion“, which was led by Dominique Lämmli @dl_____x , Marie-France Rafael @mariefrafael and Niclas Riepshoff @cupid_bovv .

In the seminar, the MA students dealt with questions such as: How does your art become visible, within which settings? How do you describe the reciprocal and relational web within which your work is perceived? Which aesthetic and practical judgements guide your work? Which orientation points do you provide for the viewer/listener/participant to access your work?
