Demi Doyle is an indie rock musician hailing from Perth, Western Australia. She currently sits at 177 listeners, but deserves so much more than that. Her debut EP ‘I Hope I Haunt You” came out on July 16th of this year and was inspired by a rough breakup (too bad this didn’t come out last year). Every song on this EP is meaningfully and creatively written, perfectly tied in together. ‘Haunt You’ is my favourite track followed by ‘See It Through.’ Coincidentally, those are the last and first songs on the EP, respectively. Each song is playlist worthy. I’m very excited to see what she releases next and hope there’s something soon. #musicdiscovery #newmusic #emergingartist #indiemusic

Ok who else was planning to go out tonight, but has given in to the lure of the couch? I was planning to go to a gig but after a busy day preparing a show for Tuesday, comfort food and a comfy recliner has swayed me. I will be listening to new WA music though, cause the playlists from last weeks show are up and now playing on the stereo! If you are looking for some tunes to entertain you tonight, links to my Tidal & Spotify playlists are in my link tree! 119 playlists of local music there to choose from. #perthmusic #wamusic #wamuisicians #inthescene #perthmusicscene

Show 119 had many firsts, it was my guest Demi Doyle’s first radio interview. We gave 2 tracks from her debut EP their first play on radio. Demi is the first songwriter I’ve met who doesn’t play an instrument and also the first one who writes lots of songs while at the gym. The show featured a debut single from Hunter Gordon, 2 double plays from Ethan French and Leah McFetridge plus loads more great new music. You can listen to a recording of the full show on the In The Scene page of the 107.3 HFM website. The Tidal & Spotify playlists will be added to my linktree later this week once all tracks I played are released. #perthmusic #inthescene #perthmusicscene #wamusic #wamuisicians

Tuesday seems to come around faster each week. Tonight on the show I’ll be chatting to Demi Doyle who is about to release her debut EP this Thursday. We will be giving you a first play on 2 of the tracks from it. I also have so much more new music to share with you so make sure you tune in from 7pm or tune in early from 6pm to hear the WA Music Hour which is stacked with recent releases from around WA. It’s the show before the real show - In The Scene which kicks off at 7pm. 📲 Listen LIVE via the hfm website hfm.radio or the COMMUNITY RADIO PLUS app FREE from App Store

You know that feeling when you want to chase the ball, then realise your exhausted and can’t actually muster the energy. Yeah that’s where I’m at so probably not gonna make it out to a gig tonight. Instead I’ll be chucking on the playlist from show 114 along with a few more from previous shows and showing some local artists my support in that way. Not the same I know, but every little bit helps. Links to my Tidal & Spotify playlists are in my bio, so give them a save and turn your algorithm local! #perthmusic #inthescene #perthmusicscene #wamusic #wamuisicians

Show 114 came and went in a bit of a blur. EDIE joined me in the studio to chat about the new club sound on her new EP Garden of Edie. We played all 4 tracks and I discovered the CD comes with a bonus unreleased track. Later I chatted to Veronica from Dolce Blue, who also have a new sound on their latest single Waste Your Time, which was produced in the UK. Veronica will launch her new project, Auxiliary Records this Friday at The Bird with Harry Foxton, Chatters & Stacey Ann and you can hear that new single live for the first time. I gave a 1st play to new tracks from Madeleine & Littlefair. There was a bunch of other new music too including a debut single from Cal M. You can listen to a recording of the full show on the In The Scene page of the 107.3 HFM website. The Tidal & Spotify playlists will be added to my linktree later this week once all tracks I played are released. #inthescene #perthmusic #perthmusicscene #wamusic #wamuisicians
