You are what you do. So…what are you doing? 👀

DoSomething is building our first-ever DoCrew - a cohort of four young people who are already taking action on the issues that matter to them and their communities. And bonus: it's a paid opportunity!

We’re looking for young people with something to say, something they care about, and the drive to do something about it. You don’t need a perfect résumé or a huge following. You just need a point of view, a passion, and a willingness to share it.

Think you belong on the inaugural DoCrew? Tell us why.

Applications are open now through September 22.
Apply at dosomething.org/docrew or through the link in our bio.

We mourn the loss of Gloria Steinem. She was a visionary, a force for gender equity and inclusion. She was a champion for those whose voices often went unheard and unseen. A true civil rights leader. Her powerful words echo DoSomething’s mission and remain an inspiration for all of us that we are what we do!

Let's continue to Do Something good for others.

Our CEO, @DeNoraGetachew is introducing our three Big Bets for what's next: guiding young people from that first spark of curiosity to sustained community leadership, training the next generation to become AI-competent digital leaders, and amplifying our members’ impact and ensuring that their stories are told in their own words.

This is how DoSomething becomes the place where youth action turns into large-scale change, and we're doing it together with young people.

For far too long, social media companies have used powerful and addictive algorithms to keep young people scrolling.

Not anymore.

Our SAFE for Kids Act will protect kids from the potential harms of social media.

Already missing this year’s People’s Money Vote phase 💚

From neighborhood pop-ups to citywide celebrations, every event was another opportunity to connect with New Yorkers and bring participatory budgeting into communities across the five boroughs.

Ballots are still being counted, so stay tuned to find out which ideas won in your borough!

As our country marks this historic milestone, we are reminded that every generation helps shape the future of our communities and our nation. The next 250 years will be written by today's young people: the leaders, builders, innovators, and neighbors who are already stepping forward to make a difference.

We are proud to be your coach, champion and connector to fueling your ability to build our shared future.

Our CEO, @democracyninja says it best. 🏳️‍🌈✨

DoSomething is a hub for a reason: it is home to 1 million young Doers who show up for themselves, each other, and their communities every single day. Regardless of how they identify, and regardless of where they come from.

This Pride Month, we're waving every flag with PRIDE and joy.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎🩵🩷🤍

Happy Pride Month to our entire community.
This one's for ALL of you! 🎉

Apparently our CEO wasn't busy enough. Congrats to DeNora Getachew @democracyninja
on her appointment as a new Commissioner on the NYC Civic Engagement Commission. 👏🏾👏🏼👏

She's now officially NYC's most civic-minded overachiever 💥

A special thank you to Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal @manhattanbp for recognizing her incredible leadership and commitment to civic life.

If we’re keeping it real, there are a lot of people who benefit from folks not knowing, not being civically engaged, not voting. Where is the civic education happening?
