POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A late post, but a few weeks back The Golden Age of Hijacking was shown as part of an open studio weekend in Cologne. Alongside my photography husbands Poras and Eddie, our work was shown in Poras' studio and he was truly the host with the mostess.

@democraticlight showed some of his Vietnamese work and @baked_with_light created work throughout the weekend with his box camera and photographic paper. I love these guys and a big thanks to Poras and his friends for hanging my work following what can only be described as vague instructions!

It's literally impossible, for any Lebanese man, to visit Dubai and Jeddah without being bothered and pestered by that many friends and family. God.

Taking part in this workshop in Marseille with the wonderful @vyogananthan, lovely participants and organized by @artfotomode , came at the perfect time – a return to intuitive work and personal connection. Being close to people again, moving with ease, focus and experiment, felt just right.

Spending time in the parks and with the wrestling boys team on the beach was a joy. The edit of the work emerged in a dummy– centered on youth, the connection between bodies, and light.

POST WORKSHOP

One of the pleasures of organising photography workshops is not just to work with great visual artists as teachers but to meet wonderful participants from all over the globe. Occasionally the synergy between each individual crystallises into a harmonious group of open minded creativity and good will. Such was this 5-day workshop that ended on Saturday conducted by Vasantha Yogananthan at his atelier in Marseille. In the heat of the city each participant challenged themselves to develop their creative understanding and output.

We had such a great time last year and this, that we have decided to do another workshop next year. Details will be on the @artfotomode workshop after the summer.

Thank you for taking part:

A little look inside our amazing workshop in Marseille with Vasantha Yogananthan and organised by Michael Grieve last week🌻
I was very lucky to be surrounded by kind souls and talented artists during this intensive course. Vasantha shared with us his knowledge through photobooks and his expertise. We had the chance to look at books published by Chose Commune @chose_commune and plenty of fantastic other publications. This is how I learned photography and it was heaven to discover more.

Congratulations to all the participants for their beautiful works and achievements of the week @35mmsophie @sabvw @greetjedegraafff @democraticlight @eleonorabendi_ @obataimu

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us🐚
I personally really needed a way to hold on to everything 🌷

with love,
