I haven’t visited my hometown in 3 years, and I haven’t seen my parents in 4 years. As much as I have missed home, it was a difficult situation for my trans journey. However, to reconnect, reunite, and relearn my relationships with my family and friends during this visit was rather very healing for my “journey”. I did not see this coming and I am so grateful to be surrounded with so much love and acceptance. A couple of months ago, if you would have asked me if it’s possible that things could change for the better, I would have laughed and said no. And I would be at peace with that as I feel extremely happy with the life I’ve built in Germany and I feel also so blessed with the love that I receive from my chosen family. But now — now I know that with time (regardless if it took a lot of time), it is definitely possible. Oh, Philippines 2026. A last minute trip that changed my life for good. Grateful is an understatement.🥹❤️‍🩹✨

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming dancers Rench Soriano @renchisaac and Ava Dempster @dempsterava to Elevate Pilates Philippines for a Semi-Private Pilates session.⁣
⁣
For dancers, strength is only part of the picture. Control, mobility, coordination, alignment, and body awareness all play an important role in how confidently and efficiently the body moves.⁣
⁣
Our Semi-Private sessions offer personalised guidance while allowing two clients to train together, each working with exercises thoughtfully adapted to their individual body, goals, and movement needs.⁣
⁣
Thank you, Rench and Ava, for visiting the studio and moving with us. 💙

What has it meant to bring tai chi to my dancing?

Balance- but not how you’re thinking about it- think big picture and then understand that you within that picture creates everything about balance (including the ones in pointe)

Strength- centered and built on a renewed purpose and resolve more than anything

Longevity- healing, rewiring, and correcting somatic patterns that meant chronic injuries that started in my mid 20’s literally started disappearing

Flexibility- of mindset, approach, and perspective. Which honestly changes EVERYTHING

So yeah. I want to teach you.

Let me 🙂 Starting with classes this summer. Stay tuned ✨

In dance, we learn balance isn’t just about standing alone — it’s also about trusting who’s beside us.

There are moments we need to lean on others, and moments we need to stand fully in our own strength. Pay attention to the people who honor both. The ones who celebrate your growth, support your hard days, and trust you enough to let you support them too.
Interdependence is not weakness. It’s the ability to receive support, offer support, and still know who you are when you stand on your own.

The communities that sustain us are built by people who show up with consistency, care, accountability, and presence. Finding those people matters deeply for your wellbeing. Becoming that person matters too.

That’s leadership.
That’s community.
That’s how we keep each other dancing. ✨🩰

A reminder from a conversation with Ava. ✨ @dempsterava
ㅤ
You messed up in an audition.
ㅤ
Now what?
ㅤ
Your instinct is to panic… which makes sense!
ㅤ
Because you can’t control the floor.
You can’t control the outcome.
You can’t control what they see.
ㅤ
But you CAN control how you keep going.
ㅤ
Stay in it.
Be curious.
ㅤ
Because sometimes… they didn’t even notice.
ㅤ
And even if they did — that’s not what defines you.
