RAL 030 40 40 ~ I’ve been watching this house in Ghent come to life from day one - I still remember seeing that container pool being dropped into place long before the walls were even standing. I knew right then that I wanted to photograph it once it was finished.
Watching Karina turn this narrow plot into such a vibrant, uncompromising home, together with DENC studio has been incredible. She really is a master of color, and getting to capture that playful energy and vision for the latest issue of @dwellmagazine was such a special project for me - even more so because I get to call her a friend. Thanks to Dwell for not shying away from a bit of extra color in print. ♨️

With adaptive reuse this school clearly wasn’t done teaching us things!
.
Cohousing Scolus in Geluwe reimagines a familiar school site into a collective living space.
Our visuals highlight the character of the original school building, the contemporary extension, and the shared garden ties everything together. Architecture with memory, designed for today.

𝐒𝐔𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊’𝐒 𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐏𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐉𝐎𝐄𝐍: 𝐀 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐇𝐔𝐁 𝐈𝐍 𝐕𝐄𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄 🏡

On 20 August, we proudly opened the ‘Burenpaviljoen’ at Suikerpark Veurne: a vibrant, shared space designed to bring neighbours together.

With a symbolic ribbon-cutting, a lively BBQ and a crowd of over 60 residents, the event marked a new chapter for this thriving community.

Initially designed by DENC-STUDIO and refined and magnificently executed by La Grange du Designer from Doornik, the Burenpaviljoen reflects a seamless blend of aesthetic, functional and technical excellence – all delivered within an impressively short timeline.

💬 “The Burenpaviljoen is here for the community. Whether it’s BBQs, sun loungers or a tool wall: it’s the residents who decide. It’s a place to connect, collaborate and create.” – Wouter Vantornout, Senior Project Developer at ION

Now open and ready for its collective future, the Burenpaviljoen stands as the beating heart of Suikerpark, a project that has now completely sold out.

ION continues to shape the future of Veurne with new homes at Suikerhof. Curious? Discover more via the link in bio🔗

Just for you! Info op website

For us, architectural visualization is about more than just form - it’s about capturing a feeling. Light, shadow, and texture come together to create a sense of depth and harmony, drawing you into an image that feels both natural and immersive. Here, the sawtooth roofline flows into the greenery, framing a communal space alive with quiet energy - voices mingling over dinner, soft laughter drifting through the air, and the warm glow of string lights weaving it all together.

The former Gantoise site in Gentbrugge is getting a green transformation. 🚀 @iondevelopdifferent and @alides_realestate won the @sogent9000 design competition, securing the opportunity to turn the historic Ottenstadion grounds into a vibrant, car-free eco-district where sustainability, innovation, and community go hand in hand.

💬 “Building on past successes, Alides and ION unite once more—combining expertise to create sustainable, innovative neighbourhoods where people love to live.” – @borisparmentier, Senior Project Developer at ION

𝐀 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝
Spread across multiple buildings, the development will include 150 homes, of which 40% are designated for social and budget-friendly rental housing. The project offers a mix of single-family homes, multi-family units, and apartments, each featuring a private garden or terrace.

🏞 A neighbourhood park with subtle nods to the site’s sporting heritage will serve as a green hub for the community. In addition, shared gardens and dedicated spaces for local amenities will further enrich the district.
