In-Season Training 💪🏼

With MANY of our athletes hitting the post-Christmas midway points of their seasons this week, this topic is commonly discussed but rightfully so, as it’s a crucial time in long-term athletic development. It is actually the MOST important training block of an athletes career!

It’s important to understand what happened DURING season will dictate whats going to happen in the next off-season. If an athlete hasn’t trained or even trained well during the competitive season, there were probably significant regressions made and we will spend time trying to make up for what was lost. That lowers the ceiling for what an athlete can accomplish during that next off-season block of training.

Your in-season training affects the next off-season’s capability.
Your off-season training block affects the in-season training capability.

Our goal to make sure we are prescribing the proper load to all of our athletes during the season to make sure we are progressing through the season, peaking towards playoff/post-season, keeping injury risks minimal, and enhancing performance. This happens with CONSISTENT 1-3x per week doses of training during the season.

Final point, something that we aim to provide: Life doesn’t get any easier for our athletes as they get older and progress through high school, college, etc.
The choice to COMMIT to 1-3x sessions per week goes a long way in developing discipline, time management, and responsibility are only going to help them in the long run. We understand sometimes seasons get long and the body gets beat up, but that’s where we can provide the best service possible by adjusting to an athletes needs.

Our goal will ALWAYS be to provide a positive and encouraging environment where our kids want to be, and when they’re here, they’re doing what is necessary to develop what will help them now and what will stay with them beyond sports!
