Phew. That’s a wrap. Three days of printmaking summer school at @draw_brighton We fitted in A LOT and this fabulous group worked so hard! We just need three more weeks/months/years to keep going with printmaking because there are endless possibilities with print! #printmakersofinstagram #lithography #summerschool #drawing #drawbrighton #ukprintmakers #peopleofprint #endangeredcrafts #heritagecraft #printmaking #artoftheday #reeloftheday #newplatformart #emergingartist #artcan #artcanartist #contemporaryprint #foillithography #drypoint #cardcut #reliefprint #monotype #alternativelithography #worksonpaper

Day two of the printmaking summer school with @draw_brighton has gone by in a colourful flash! We did colour swatching, monotype and card cut! Phew! They’re such a wonderful group, I can’t wait for day three where we focus on personal practice. What will everyone decide to do?? #printmakersofinstagram #lithography #summerschool #drawbrighton #drawing #monotype #colour #colourprint #ukprintmakers #peopleofprint #endangeredcrafts #heritagecraft #printmaking #artoftheday #reeloftheday #newplatformart #emergingartist #artcan #artcanartist #contemporaryprint #alternativelithography #worksonpaper

Art of the Community 🎨 💚 🖼 What a treat! Thank you to our Tutor and local Artist, Shelley Morrow, for our wonderful Watercolour Workshop at Waterloo Street Community Garden, yesterday, Saturday 24 September 2022. Back story: Shelley, is in recovery from injury, and shared how during the worst of times, friends and neighbours had rallied round. This free workshop was Shelley’s way of giving thanks 🙏 Shelley also has her own beautiful book of Figurative Drawings and Watercolours, which was said to be born out of encouragement from her late friend, Lou, (who some of you will remember fondly) Lou was also the book’s main sponsor. And also features on Shelley’s Watercolour Workshop poster. ♥️ Voluntary donations, towards workshop materials, and also book sales, were all humbly received by Shelley, during these challenging times for many. 🙏 Featured in this reel, are: Tutor, Shelley; Henry, Dene, Joseph, Josie and Jack, Georgie, Christian and Annette, Frankie, Kori, Jess, Chris, Maria, Daniel and Amy and kitten, Millie (a couple of names may have been inadvertently missed in the moment ~ please DM, and a quick edit will amend!) There were many others in attendance, including neighbours, Mary and Terry and Volunteer, Claire, and more 😎 Everyone was welcomed and full of praise on this fine day! 🌅Star 🌟 Volunteer, Christian (whom invited his lovely Mum, Annette, along) said how much he enjoyed learning about watercolour techniques and was impressed by the great attendance, spontaneously leading us into a well-deserved round of applause for our host, Shelley 👏 👏 Do check out Shelley’s website for further project details: www.shelleymorrow.com 🎨 🎨 🎨 #WaterlooStreetCommunityGarden #WaterlooStreet #Brunswick #Hove #SussexLife #UK #Watercolour #Draw #CommunityGarden #UrbanGardens #ArtforAll #WellbeingforAll #GreenSpaces 💚
