Sometimes the goodness of God does not always arrive as fire from a burning bush.

Sometimes it arrives in the form of friendship.

Someone who knows your voice
even when you lose it.
Someone who stands in the heat with you,
holds the staff with you,
carries the weight, the guilt and the glory with you.

When Moses needed words, Aaron lent his.
When Moses needed strength, Aaron lent his.

Aaron was not the leader.
He was the friend who made leading possible.

The goodness of God looks like Aaron.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬

Just a bunch of iron sharpeners. These boys inspire me so freaking much, the way they choose to seek after God with each other, this is what real brotherhood is about. They aren’t afraid to be on their knees before God, to pray bold prayers, to speak life over each other, I could never explain just how proud I am of them.

This is the next generation of the church - it’s in great hands.

@zionbravebennett HSC ART MAJOR WORK //

These pieces represent how the school tie at @patsblacktown brings boys together - each carrying their own personal story + culture - each on their own journey of becoming. Zion photographed his mates and drew each sketch as symbols of their unique paths - from Samoa to professional football, to being raised in a refugee family from war torn Sudan and learning how to navigate Australia as a teenager, to being a twin with scoliosis and finding your personal identity when your brother plays football. I have loved watching this journey so much. XO
