One of the seven wonders of the world!
Facts about the colosseum.

The Colosseum is an elliptical-shaped structure that measures approximately 189 meters long, 156 meters wide, and 50 meters high. It could seat up to 50,000 people in its heyday. The Colosseum was built by the ancient Romans during the Flavian dynasty, which lasted from 69 to 96 AD.

📽 🇰🇪 Last Friday, the inaugural Solutions Film Festival was hosted at Baraza Media Lab in Nairobi, Kenya. This film festival amplified the voices and the talent of the 19 African filmmakers who participated in our Solutions Storytelling Project (SSP) program in 2023. Collectively, their short documentaries gained over 1 millions views online! After a year in production and countless hours invested, gathering in one place to celebrate these impactful stories with the world was simply magical. 💫 Swipe through to see a few photos from the festivities, plus a group of our SSP fellows who went on a fun excursion together after the festival wrapped!

SSP is a collaborative storytelling fellowship that connects regional filmmakers and social innovators in Africa to produce solutions-focused short documentaries that catalyze positive change. SSP and the Solutions Film Festival wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Skoll Foundation (@skoll.foundation) and Docubox (@mydocubox). A huge thanks also goes out to VC’s own Debra Aroko (@_aroko) for her dedication to making this festival a reality.

Solutions Film Festival is the culmination of endless hard work, talent, and vision. Congrats to all! 💙

Learn more about SSP: Africa on our website at videoconsortium.org/programs.
