And they’re off! 2026 started right in the middle of fair as always🥴
Asher & Brecken start 7th Grade
D’Enna- 10th (and taking concurrent enrollment classes)
Kaydence- 1st year @ Snow College as an ambassador. Also how much Mac and cheese and popcorn is safe to eat as your only food… I’m a little concerned.

Another county fair has come and gone. It is always wild how long it takes to get there when we start breeding for next year show literally the week it’s over and our babies are on the ground at Christmas time but fair week is one of my favorite times of year! and it is one of the most exhausting headache inducing stress having week as well. I’m always so proud of my kids when I see them pitch in and do the dirty work. I think sometimes they might get it from being able to watch their dad and mom be able to jump in and do the dumb things that no one else will want to do like carrying 30 wheelbarrels full of dirty shavings out of the barn @johnbarclay59 or pressure washing stall mats for two hours straight, or digging trenches in the mud and rain. Watch out for us next year. We are excited about big plans for our breeding production. Hopefully they turn out so glad for my kids to have a grand and reserve in the bread gnome category. It may have been slightly rigged since no one else competed, but we still did the work and it is a butt kicker so so glad to have another set of buckles and ribbons to show for the effort these kids and I put in! Lastly, thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and gun auction so excited to make big plans for our fundraising efforts and can’t wait to see what this can build into.

The first play of 3 the school produced this year! D’Enna was part of the ensemble and got to be a boy. 🤣 Kayde was a lead as Rosemary in “how to succeed in business without really trying” watch to the end for some mini clips.
