Poetry bc SO much more than a festival🔥❤️
I tried to capture the experience - and the 11 Principles of the Burn - into poetry. I searched for words to describe what happens out there, but the truth is that the real Burn isn’t something you can explain.
It lives within us.
The magic we created.
The moments we shared.
The version of ourselves we found in the dust, the art, the silence, the fire, and each other.🧡

FOREVER thankful that Universe brought me to this magical place in the desert, where I met the most inspiring souls from all over the world. 🥺 This week and YOU ALL changed my life in the most beautiful ways. 💎

Wow wow wow. Literally the most special week of my life. From the moment I heard about Afrikaburn, I knew I had to go here! And when the lady next to me on the plane after BOOM told me about it, we bought tickets; she told me about the camp (MARAH) she was staying at, and that’s how our adventure began. Not knowing at all what to expect, Tessa, Indy, Janwillem and I left Cape Town in our rental car. The horror road everyone was talking about turned out to be not as bad as expected, thankfully. Once we arrived, we immediately felt a connection with our neighbors and several people from our camp. I am so grateful that we got to meet all these beautiful souls, also the once later at the playa. We shared so much together. From laughing to crying, from sharing food to sharing clothes. Drinking wine together at La Petit Paris to karaoke. And from the peaceful yoga class to the beautiful African ceremony. Organised the liquid lounge, ride on a mega mutant bison Appa. Dancing at Bahari, Space cowboys & Tulpa or fall asleep together on a random sofa. Not to mention the naked run where I almost lost my clothes; luckily, I only had to search for 40 minutes in my naked body. But we felt the Ultimate FREEDOM. And Indy’s mom merch was a hit again, taking over Afrikaburn. Oh almost forget to mention seeing the most beautiful sunset & stars while shitting. Ill for always think about our pizzapasta party when i eat pizza🥹
My mind will stay in The Tankwa Desert for a long time!
