Kinda Chic, y'all.

We had to jump on the trend. There's so much about producing fabulous local theatre, building from the ground up, hiring amazing artists, creating community, doing the thing that is CHIC.

Last night, our community came together to celebrate something that means more to me than I can adequately convey here, so I’ll let the photos tell the story. The @oldcourthousetheatre family celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of this incredible institution by Mary Snead Boger back in 1976. We celebrated and reminisced about the past; remembered those who are no longer with us; heard a musical walk down memory lane; and most importantly - spent time with so many of the people who made this theater what it is today. To all my friends who came back for this - Thank you. You will never know how much you mean to me, my Sis, and our Mom and Dad. Enjoy these photos!!!

AFTER THE SHOW. A prized picture with @dennisdelamar and @ericwoodall who bookend my career in the wildest way — we shared the stage in Violet years apart, and now here we are again hugging after my Come From Away performance. One caught the show and raved. The other is the reason I’m in it. Only in this business do your past and present collide at the stage door like that. Full‑circle Theatre magic.

I never shared my experience from last year working in theatreCharlotte, and it was honestly amazing. I had the honor of being part of the tech crew for Murder on the Orient Express with such a great director. It was kind of crazy because the director actually caught me reading the book before! I’ve always loved mysteries, especially mystery plays, so it made it even more special.
Moving the train and basically being the train was so much fun—especially with such an amazing crew. It was definitely heavy, but totally worth it. The cast was incredible and so kind—some familiar faces and some new ones, all with such good energy.

2025 was a crazy roller coaster for me. There were many ups and downs, but in the end, I survived. I met amazing people and found a very wonderful person who became the love of my life. University was tough and caused many mental breakdowns, but I pushed through and made it to the other side. I’m proud of myself for getting through it all. #2025
