FEATURED: footage from the Above The City event last month! Led by @abundancesocialclub , the overall goal of the event was to activate @seattleconventioncenter third floor rooftop and introduce it to the general public.

Our role that night was to promote interaction, and program the event in a way to encourage participants to try new things. Between @vibrologylab ‘s Cloud 9 station, the community mural, typewriter poets, açaí station, and more, there was more than enough to experience.

Our simple solution was to create custom-designed cards for the event. Every participant starts with a black and white version of the card, hole-punching it with a custom shapes at each vendor station. Once they earned three hole punches, they could enter their card into a raffle for a chance to earn multiple prizes, plus their card was switched out for a full-color replica to keep as a token of memorabilia.

Without using any technology, we were able to measure the level of interaction by the quantity and shapes of the total hole punches. This helps us understand how many table visits we inspired, and which vendors were most popular. In the end, the card program influenced a minimum of 445 in-person interactions.

This is one example of how Opalseed can work within existing events to add an element of depth, make nights more memorable, and encourage guests to interact with their world in a more meaningful way.

We’re excited to continue enhancing events while building fresh new ways for Seattle residents to engage with the beautiful city we call home.

Some songs don’t need to be danced to loudly. They just need to be felt. ❤️
And Zaalima… this one was meant to be felt.

The pauses. The breaths. The softness. The stillness. The poetry between the movements. Those tiny moments where you’re not really doing much… but somehow saying everything.

We loved this choreo SO much, that we had to shoot this one and save it for the books :)
And then add @denniswithacam doing his magic behind the lens… and suddenly, what we felt while dancing found its way onto the screen.

Had a blast creating this one. A little less choreography. A little more feeling.

Here’s to many more stories, many more songs, and many more moments of finding poetry through movement.

There are some songs you dance to… and some songs that somehow dance through you. ❤️
Zaalima felt like the latter.

Shot something incredibly beautiful and soulful with Mahir and @denniswithacam … and I’m still sitting with how this one made me feel. No noise. No rush. Just a happy heart ❤️ 🥹

Masti masti mein look what happened? ;)

When you leave 4 people completely unsupervised…One with a camera. 📸 Two with dupattas 💃🏽
And ONE with some intention of behaving. 😂

Somewhere between goofing around, throwing dupattas at each other, laughing uncontrollably and saying “oye hoye... ek aur baar phekna dupatta?” we accidentally made a whole dance. 😂

Had the BEST time goofing around… I mean, dancing very seriously and professionally… with this mad bunch.

10/10 would leave us unsupervised again. 😂❤️
