50 years of a brand transcending being simply a brand, and embracing its place as the steward of standing sideways. We’re beyond honored to receive this Backhill from the Carpenter family, and more so to have read the words George wrote.

There have been many highs, lows and good times - but most importantly, what we reflect on most are the PEOPLE that make and have made The B what it is.

Mike, Jodie and Spencer (unfortunately missing @formermisstimkey) sat down and spoke on how it started and where we go from here.

Thank you @donnacarpenter @george_burton_carpenter @taylor_carpenter13 @timiburton77 - the legacy is alive and the future is bright. Cheers to 50 more 🖕🏻

There are a number of individuals who have had an impact on my approach to food, hospitality and just being the best human I can be. Chris Bianco is one of those individuals/chefs I admire, respect and just flat out love. He’s the kind of person who radiates love, positivity and passion in any room he’s in. Back in 2019 I bought two pizza books, one was the Pizza Bible and the other was Bianco by @pizzeriabianco Fast forward two years later I was fortunate to have met Chris in 2021 at a pizza event. I always think back to that wide eyed star struck pizza boy at the beginning of his professional pizza career. I was just opening up my first pizzeria at the time. I built up all the courage to approach him and thank him for being an inspiration to me. We shared a great conversation and little did I know that was a start of a friendship. The thought that pizza connected me with one of the greatest to ever do it is surreal. An absolute GOAT, a legend and beautiful human who I’m lucky to call a friend. Last week I had the opportunity to work along side Chris. I’ve had a lot of highs and lows in this journey. The highs always far outweigh the lows and last week I experienced one of the greatest moments of my career. I was able to work along side some pretty incredible people in a city in I will soon call home. It was one of the pinch me moments, making pizza and sharing pizza knowledge along side one of the most influential people and friends in my life. Thanks to all the people who made last week possible, memorable and exceptional. I had a moment during the event where I got pretty emotional and I said to myself I am proud of me. I felt this sense of relief, peace and happiness following that statement. It was then I realized that I don’t tell myself that I’m proud of myself enough. I am so grateful to be a part of such a loving welcoming community. Be proud, be kind and be happy ❤️🍕
