Hello my cheesy friends and fam 👋🏻

I am so happy to be back in action as your favorite NYC cheeseboarder. After a very long hiatus, I’m back in new and improved ways! I’m expanding my cheesy talents from reviewing cheeseboards and tables to making grazing tables and boards for events!

Featured here is the first event of 2024 - a grazing table for the Denote Art Show back in April featuring 5 different cheeses, meats, and pairings. This was such a fun event to curate for with over 40 guests!

Are you looking for a custom grazing table and catering? Shoot me a DM and let’s chat! Events are fully customizable and can feature additions like wine & mocktail pairings.

My grandmother often talked about her difficult childhood because of the war. How she was left without parents at a young age and without a home. The neighbors dismantled the house brick by brick. I will remember these terrible stories all my life. And now, the 21st century. War and broken destinies again.

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to produce+curate a private art exhibition at the Landmark Art Space in Chelsea.

The "Covert Art Show" was a @gallery_henzo invite-only exhibition showcasing all original artworks by:

@amyann69 . @andrewabbotttt . @annafrants .
@emmagracehapner . @edenesq_ . @jake_henzo . @maxinehooverart . @animotisart . @oursols . @woolleynickart . @reid_stowe_art

It was a pleasure to work with all of these immensly talented artists. And I feel lucky to have exhibited their art.

It was an equal pleasure meeting and actually getting to know our collectors. We have magnificent people that truly care about supporting artists in a real way.

The future is bright, even on days when its glow can only be seen through a pinhole. We are the ones driving change.

Thank you for the love along the way <3

It has come to our attention that a mysterious force is lose somewhere in outer space
The mysteries of creation is there
Up in the sky, up in the sky
The moon and the planets are there
And new hopes for knowledge and peace are there
And therefore as we set sail; we ask God’s blessing
On the most hazardous, and dangerous, and greatest adventure
Of which man has ever embarked
Prepared for liftoff

🚀✨💫🌟

Great vibes at @gallery_henzo celebrating a collective of incredible artists. This sail installation was created by @reid_stowe_art , Reid Stowe is known for completing 1,152 days non-stop at sea. The longest sea voyage in history.

Incredibly proud of the new @soiree_henzo feature in @up__mag !!

"Soirée Henzo: A Grassroots Assault on Chelsea’s Elitist Gallery Culture"

Written by J. Scott Orr, photography by Nicole ABE Titus.

Snippet from the article:

"Welcome to the latest incarnation of soiree henzo, the brainchild of jake henzo, the Pittsburgh transplant who has grown this gathering of creative outsiders from a small group meeting in his former East Village apartment into a monthly showcase for the work of hundreds of little-known NYC artists many of whom have never had their work displayed in a gallery, let alone at a Chelsea event space like this.

That henzo, who eschews the use of capital letters in his name and that of his branded products, would bring his flock of artist followers to the heart of Chelsea for a monthly one-night stand is an act of such audacity, ingenuity and vision that soiree henzo may itself be the most important work of art to emerge from the New York underground in years."
