THIS IS WHAT IT’S LIKE TO MAKE A WEIRD, CONFUSING SHORT FILM OVER THE WEEKEND WITH YOUR FRIENDS

you should try it sometime :)

The weekend of October 2-4, 2026, we took up @handmadepuppetdreams

🕯️48 HOUR HALLOWEEN FILM CHALLENGE🕯️

The prompts were: Shiver, Thread, and Bizarre Broadcast

Our film, DO NOT LOOK, takes inspiration from the surreal, deeply disconnected world of anthology horror broadcasts from decade’s past. Even the sound design was completed via cassette manipulation.

This is the BTS footage. There was laughter, there were tears, and most importantly: there was fog.

Our entry, along with all other entries, will be streamed starting TOMORROW, OCTOBER 24.
For more information on the upcoming screenings and live-streamings, please check out @handmadepuppetdreams.

Our film will also be posted here eventually, but where’s the fun in that?

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! RSVP LINK WILL GO LIVE ON 11/1 8AM MST

BE WARNED: spots are limited to the number of robots we were able to source, so be sure to act quickly! And to that point,
PLEASE DON’T RSVP UNLESS YOU’RE COMING!

In collaboration with @thepeoplespuppets aka @denverpuppets, I am proud to be hosting a beginner’s animatronics workshop!

No experience with robotics is required, as we will be taking second hand robots and re-skinning them into one of a kind works of (creepy) art. To get a better idea of what I mean, check out my series on the animatronic spider (shameless plug).

I will be posting about my demo piece leading up to the event. I’m so excited to share the wonderful world of animatronic upcycling with you all!

THE BROADWAY HALLOWEEN PARADE OF 2026 WAS INVADED BY PUPPETS!
THE PUPPET REVOLUTION IS COMING FOR YOU NEXT!

The Puppet Disco cast, the menagerie of @denverpuppets, as well as @fabulous.puppets all rode along with Denver’s biggest and fiercest resident puppet, @onyxthevelociraptor for @broadwayhalloween on Saturday.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AND IM STILL NOT DONE TALKING ABOUT IT (nor are my shoulders and knees done recovering but it was worth the pain)

Thank you to the fine folks who organize this beloved tradition every year🦖🕷️🦖

We hope to be back for 2027!

Please enjoy some (spoiler free) behind the scenes from our submission to @handmadepuppetdreams Halloween 48 hour film challenge. WE DID IT!

I believe that screenings begin on 10/25 but I’ll edit this caption if that’s incorrect. I’m tired.

We will post the film for all to see as soon as we can!

Final credits are in the film but basically:

Director, Writer, Puppeteer : @fabulous.puppets
Assistant Director, Creature Design, and Score : @discopuppetdisco (aka @wraithworker for tunes)
Lead Writer, Lead Shadow Puppeteer: @enbyartnbooks (aka @denverpuppets)
Lead Editor, Writer, Story Board Artist : @phoebelink.art

We’ll be posting a behind the scenes reel closer to the release of the film and once we have all successfully recovered from this very rewarding yet grueling experience. We are addicted to the pain. We love the grind. We will be back.

Big immediate thank you to @pieholedenver for having us and being so supportive of artists in general. Pizza was the fuel for this one!

Thank you as well to @denvercommunitymedia for allowing us to crash your space. Your hospitality and enthusiasm for our weird art is deeply appreciated!!
