It took me 7 long years to graduate from Michigan State University with my degree in Electrical Engineering.

I was a senior.
Then a super senior lol.
Then an extended senior 😂.

I went to 13 graduations before I graced the stage.

I experienced 2 generations come through college while I was at MSU.

There were many times where I wanted to quit but I remember the promise I made to my mother. I said I’m not coming home until 2 things happen:

1) I become a man.
2) I find my purpose in life!

Once I got my degree I realized that I had more to live for. In 3 short years I retired from engineering to walk into my purpose.

People ask me all the time how could you walk away from a 6 figure career?

I tell them that your career is what you get paid for but your calling is what you were made for. Never give up on your dreams family. #blessed #educatedblackman #msu #gogreen #gowhite #1percentbetter

9 years ago I knew I had to make a change and becoming an alpha man was the exact change I needed 🤙🏾. Gaining 10 brothers from T.H.E.G.I.F.T was a blessing that I needed. We share so many memories from blessing the yard at Michigan state to performing all over the world in step shows. I love my brothers I couldn’t see it any other way. I’m proud to be an alpha man 🤙🏾. 8 years ago I made the decision to join Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. It was by far the best decision in my life at the time. Heading down the road of jail or death I knew I needed to be around people who could keep me focused. Alpha changed the trajectory of my life ! I’m grateful for my 7 Founders who created an organization over 100 years ago with individuals like me in mind.
