My favorite places in Amsterdam to eat or snack in the past two months! 1) This pita falafel @pitaqueen_nl looked and tasted so good. Great service (!), a clever menu, the place was packed with young and older locals 2) Good Ol’ @kwekkeboom still rocks! Their selection of cakes and pastries still makes me happy 3) I finally made it to Thai restaurant @rakangamsterdam, the food was delicious and made with love. I definitely will go back! 4) Feeling packish and ready for a bite & drink? In a calm and comfortable ambiance? Treat yourself @waldorfamsterdam 5) Still a big favorite: @deplantage. The service and presentation are so…elegant! This hummus with pita bread was the best. ©️ralphhendriks #foodie #foodmood #goodfood #mouthwatering #wowmoment

It was so nice to be a tourist in my own city. ❤️🇳🇱 So grateful that my friends came to visit us and gave me the perfect excuse to rediscover Amsterdam through tourist eyes.

Honestly, Amsterdam always has something to offer, so it’s never hard to impress friends and family with this city. From hidden gems and good food to beautiful parks, canals and a little bit of nightlife… Amsterdam never disappoints. ✨

Here are the restaurants & bars we visited and would recommend:

🍻 Proeflokaal A. van Wees — my favourite Dutch bar & a must-visit for a proper Dutch experience
🌮 Salmuera Amsterdam — amazing Latin food + mezcal
🌿 De Plantage — beautiful atmosphere and delicious food
🌳 Groot Melkhuis — right in the middle of Vondelpark, perfect for a relaxed break
🍜 Restaurant Blauw — some of the best Indonesian food in Amsterdam

And for a little fun… 💃🏻
🎶 We went dancing at Paradiso
👀 Visited the Museum of Prostitution for the first time
🚤 And if you’re in Amsterdam during summer, a boat tour is an absolute must! There’s no better way to experience the city than from its canals.

Save this for your next Amsterdam visit — and send it to someone who needs an Amsterdam weekend! 🇳🇱✨

Welke ga jij doen? 👇
