It’s been one month since Jonah left this world to be in heaven. To say we’ve missed him everyday is an understatement. My sweet nephew was only here 1,361 days but the lessons he taught us while on earth and continues to teach us are immeasurable…

🤍 How to be loving and kind

🤍 How to see the best in all, even the bad guys like Darth Vader and The Grinch

🤍 How to enjoy life to the fullest, whether it’s playing in the snow, rides at amusement parks or tasting all the samples at Costco

🤍 How to sing loud and proud, especially the parts you know the best

🤍 How to laugh big at even the little stuff, like silly movie lines

🤍 How to slow down, enjoy snuggles and time well spent, especially with family

🤍 How to be gentle and kind, from holding hands, to big hugs, to gently petting pets

🤍 How to care, be inquisitive, ask more questions, truly listen, and be persistent when your question wasn’t understood

🤍 How to pray and have great faith ALWAYS🤍

Thank you to family and friends that have loved on our family through it all. Your kindness is deeply felt and appreciated🤍 Please continue to pray for my brother Rey, sis-in-love Gina and nephew Kai, along with all the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that face new milestones and life without Jonah holding our hands but forever holding our hearts.

Jonah’s services on 3/16 were at Harvest OC, an extension of the church - Harvest Riverside - our family grew up with, learning and leaning into our faith since the 80’s. It truly was a beautiful service with words of love, faith and unbound devotion. We were all so touched and honored to have Greg Laurie @greglaurie join us for the closing prayer. Full circle moment in life, many emotions bubbling up for Jonah’s passing and for the faith and community around us. Everything from music, prayers, speeches, it all came together beautifully, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better for my brother and family🤍 Services were recorded and can be seen at https://tinyurl.com/JonahOchoa - forward to 7min mark where it starts.

My sweet nephew Jonah had his heart transplant July 29th and was discharged from #radyschildrenshospital a few days ago and is back home! ❤️

For those of you who have prayed alongside our family for his angel heart, thank you! 🙏🏼❤️

To the donor family, a million thank you’s for eternity, for the new life sweet Jonah now has❤️

He was at Rady’s for over 7months waiting for the biggest blessing of a heart and I love seeing that smile as he walked out the hospital to head back home to be with his mama, dada and big bro❤️ We’re so excited to see Jonah thriving again and be able to live a healthy and happy life❤️

Our new friend Jonah is ready to report for firefighter duty! 🚒 Jonah has spent his whole life being a fighter. After some scary diagnoses, multiple open heart surgeries and cardiac arrests, Jonah is now awaiting a heart to become available for a heart transplant.
