Year 4 as Head Coach of the Centennial HS Cheer Program, and we finished with a 2nd place title at State. Congratulations to Rio Rancho on their State Championship!

From summer camp in Albuquerque, to winning the 🍌, to 8 All-Americans and representing Centennial in Hawaii… we knew this team was special, and you proved it every single day: 6am practices, sidelines, community support, fighting through injuries and exhaustion, and still competing at the highest level.

You may not have taken 1st this weekend, but you walked away as champions in every way that matters.

To my athletes: thank you for trusting me, for believing in each other, and for giving your whole heart to this program. I will carry this team with me forever.

It takes a village, thank you to our parents, boosters, staff, alumni, and community for loving us the way you do.

To my Seniors, Class of 2026: we started this journey together, and you’ve built a legacy that will live on long after you leave. I am so blessed to have had you in my life. I will miss all 9 of you so much. You will always be part of the Hawk Cheer Family 🖤💛❤️

To my coaches:
Coach Ricky, thank you for your wisdom and steady voice of reason.
Coach April, thank you for capturing our moments and bringing so much grace to our program.
Coach Alyssa, thank you for keeping us grounded in integrity and discipline.
Coach Alex, our choreographer, our visionary, our cheer genius. We would not be who we are without you. I am forever grateful to stand beside you building this program.

And finally, to my family, Lorena and Joaquin, I’m so grateful we shared this journey together. Antonio, Makayla, my brother, and my mom, thank you for always being there. Larry, the love of my life, thank you for holding everything together when I couldn’t. I love you endlessly.

Always be proud to be a Hawk. ❤️‍🔥

For the past 8 years, this sport has shaped me into the person I am today. Cheer became my safe place on the hardest days, gave me friendships that feel like forever, and brought me closer to God in ways I never expected. Cheer will always hold a piece of my heart.

To my family, thank you for being the reason I got to live out this dream. From early morning practices to long nights at open gym, from every high to every low you never stopped showing up for me. I wouldn’t be here without a support system that refused to let me give up, even when it was hard.

To my coaches, thank you for seeing something in me when I couldn’t see it in myself. Thank you for pushing me to my full potential, believing in me, and helping me fall in love with this sport all over again this year. Everything you’ve done, seen and unseen, has changed me. I wouldn’t be who I am today without you. God knew exactly what He was doing when He placed you all in my life.

To my teammates and best friends, you are the reason this meant so much. You turned the toughest moments into memories I’ll carry forever. You made me laugh when I wanted to cry, and reminded me why I stayed when things got hard. No title could ever measure what we built together. We were the people’s champions and I wouldn’t trade what we built for any trophy or ring.

And finally, to God, the one who made it all possible. Thank you for waking me up every day with the chance to do something I loved so deeply. Thank you for giving me strength when I felt weak, and for carrying me through every season of this journey.

This sport, this dream team and this family has changed me for better. Even if this chapter is ending, I know it will always be a part of me.

I want to thank all of the athletes who attended our Fall Clinic this past weekend. I'm so impressed by the senior talent throughout this area from Fabens to Las Cruces. We got to work with many talented individuals from the area.

Whether you choose to try out for @utepcheer or not, we hope to see you all on the sideline for a college team next season.
