Bio⬇️
Abby Marchesseault is a freelance choreographer, performer, and educator whose work examines human dependency—on self, community, nature, society, history, and the spiritual. She began her professional career in NYC, performing and choreographing with numerous artists and companies, and was a longstanding member of The Connecticut Ballet. Now based in the Midwest, she collaborates across disciplines such as music, sculpture, and textiles, with works presented throughout the U.S. and internationally in the United Kingdom, Australia, Indonesia, and Nigeria. She holds a BFA from Southern Methodist University and serves on faculty at Southold Dance Theatre and the University of Notre Dame.

Sleeping beauty post!! 🎉

I have finally gotten myself make this post. 😂@utahfestivalballet ‘s production of sleeping beauty was a full week ago, but I am reluctant to admit that it has ended. This production felt so magical and so fulfilling to get to perform. I am so grateful to dance alongside amazing friends that I have made and the amazing guests that performed with is for this production.

Reflecting back on this year I am so grateful for the opportunities that I have been given and I am so excited for future opportunities!

sleeping beauty 🩰✨🧚‍♀️🪻🌸🌿🌙

i couldn’t be more grateful for everything i have learned from my time at @utahfestivalballet . i have grown as a person and an artist, and i will carry all this knowledge as i take my next step into my career. @maricar.l.drilon , thank you from the bottom of my heart for rekindling my love and passion for ballet. i wouldn’t be here without your help, along with @derek_drilon , @brooke___sanderson , @kpritchett25 , @mommydeno , @lindsayfolkmanchoreography. you have all taught me so much, and i will miss learning from you all.

to all my girls -
i can’t imagine my time here without you. thank you for all the laughs, all the hugs, all the inside jokes, all the support, all the unhinged moments, and all the memories that i will keep with me forever. i am so proud to have experienced growing with you. i can’t wait to see where each and every one of you will end up in your journey of life, and whatever it is, you’ve all earned it. i love you all.
