Right now, thousands of people across the United States are waiting for a heart transplant. Some may receive that call quickly, while others wait months—or even years—never knowing when, or if, their gift of life will come.

For families living through this, waiting can feel endless. Every day can bring hope, fear, appointments, hospital stays, setbacks, and the constant thought: Will today be the day?

These numbers aren’t just statistics. They represent real people with families who love them, futures they are fighting for, and lives they desperately want to keep living.

At A Heart Like Mine, we share this to bring awareness to the people behind the waiting list and to remind others just how powerful the gift of organ donation can be. ❤️
