One of the many Yosemite elopement couples from this season thus far. Congratulations to Lillian and Derek here who married and then booked me for their wedding photography. As a Yosemite wedding, Photographer, I guide couples around the national parks to the best scenic locations. Sometimes couples book me for a ceremony and photographic adventure around the park, and other times they are already married, like in City Hall, or someone’s backyard or even in an airplane on the way to Yosemite. They show with up with me in Yosemite for some epic and beautiful images. I’m always looking to give my couples the best and it never gets old. I love what I do. Congratulations to all my couples this year so far.

There are many couples in Yosemite fighting for space to get married. Okay I’m messing around. But there were six couples at one location a few days ago, and many more last night. Hiking our way out of sunset photos with Lillian and Derek, we were chatting with another couple on the trail, and I suggested we get a playful image of them fighting each other for territory. They gladly agreed, but they could hardly keep a straight face trying. We all just laughed. It was one of the many unconventional ideas I’ve had for a while. Just having fun.

🌼Bloom Where You’re Planted🌼
“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.” Matthew 6:28-29 NIV
“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8 NIV

Wildflowers, and especially the California poppy don’t worry about standing out or being noticed.
They bloom when the season is right. After a season of fire or drought, poppies often
return even brighter, because the soil has been enriched in ways that only hardship
could create. God does the same in us. He uses the hard seasons to enrich our soil
so our faith and resilience can bloom more vividly than before.
Every person blooms on a unique timeline. Some graduate early, some marry young, some step into callings later in life. Just like flowers, we’re not meant to compare our blooming to anyone else’s. God plants us with intention and knows exactly when we’re ready to bloom.
Jesus reminds us to lift our eyes from worry and fix them on Him. Blooming isn’t about striving or achieving. It’s about trusting the Gardener. Our job isn’t to control the season but to stay rooted where He’s placed us and trust His timing. As we grow faithful with the responsibilities He’s already given, He entrusts us with more. That’s how His
kingdom multiplies. Through steady, faithful blooming, one season at a time much like chapters in a book.
So whether you feel unnoticed like a flower in the field or delayed in your timeline,
remember this: hidden or seen, early or late, your bloom still glorifies the Gardener.#jesus #family #faith#
