POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Spent the afternoon chatting with the phenomenal @shainataub who made history in 2024 when she became the first solo woman to win Tony Awards for both the book and score of a musical. That musical of course, was @suffsmusical which tells the story of the American women’s suffrage movement. It is one of the best original musicals I’ve seen in along time - probably since @hamiltonmusical.

Speaking of #Hamilton, @lin_manuel wrote in @time that he has “been a fan of Shaina’s since her days writing Shakespeare adaptations for the @publictheaterny ….What else will she do that has never been done?”

We agree - and we’ll show you why, soon on @cbsmornings .

I know what you’re thinking. “Doug, it’s a strata.” But this ham and cheese variant from the 1980’s has accompanied most of our family events; particularly celebrations. There is an important one that I am missing today, and I decided to celebrate it in absentia with this breakfast.

I’m going to have to follow up with my aunt. Her normal cue that it’s done with the smoke alarm going off didn’t work for me.

Cheers to Max and Destiny on their big day!

Tune into @cbsmornings to see our chat with @drhayleyborn and Broadway singing star man dude @drewgehling about how a vocal injury lead to a medical study on how Broadway performers try to protect their voices… and what actually works. (Hint: dairy, doesn’t make you a worse singer…)
