my new record, ‘Kaleidoscope’ is out today with a video by talented amigo @derekddelahunt ~ its a collection of minimal instrumental songs made on an old Casio keyboard that i found at a yard sale

a few years ago i had a conversation with @hailumergia when he came to play the mystic folkways festival that i curated ~ his energy, his playing, his history all inspired me as much as his records had ~ im cant claim to be a keys player, but hailus approach to the instrument has influenced me in the same way jerrys guitar playing has ~ physical copies on the way via @aural_canyon / @dawnlnds ~ hope you like it

The staircase at Nushka Hoo is larger than you might expect in a traditional summer house, designed to bring northern light deep into the center of the home. Throughout the day, that light moves across the pine paneling, changing the character of the space hour by hour.

At night, an oversized Akari lantern by Isamu Noguchi hangs overhead, glowing like a moon at the heart of the house.

Nothing says summer by the shore quite like a screened porch. Just off the kitchen, this is the room that sees the most use at Nushka Hoo.

The kitchen at Nushka Hoo takes its cues from the kitchens of the 1920s and 1930s, when practicality and comfort guided every decision.

At Nushka Hoo, the hall was designed to recall the great shingle-style houses of the 1880s. Oak, pine, poplar, yellow cedar, and mahogany each bring their own texture, color, and warmth, creating a modern living space rooted in the traditions of the Rhode Island shore.
