Celebrating our very own @derekvsowusu on the publication of his new novel, The Recovery House.

There aren’t many people who can express grief and joy, darkness and hope, all within a couple of sentences, but Derek can - and I urge everyone to read it!!

He is one of the most inspiring people I know, and it was a privilege to get to celebrate him properly last night.

Also, I’ll be using his dedication in my copy for LinkedIn 😉 Thanks Derek!!

The @loxwood_joust with @knyaz_uk

One hell of a weekend with one hell of a team. Didn't exactly get the results we hoped for but we took every single team bar one to three rounds and we fought like hell for it. We definitely won the hearts of the crowds

I also somehow managed to win the All V All meat grinder on Saturday so I'm pretty happy about that and will be riding that high for a good while 😂

Over the last weekend of the amazing @loxwood_joust the newest members of Club Knyaz took part of this years Men's Passage of Arms, organized by @invictabattleheritage

This was a first tournament for Jack, Dom, George, and Rob, as well as being Rob's first time in armour, which meant a lot of learning for everyone.

We also had James join us for this one, thanks to Invicta for lending him out - it was an honour fighting alongside you!

The team was led by first time Captain Dominic, and there couldn't have been a better man for the job - he showed nothing but passion, integrity, patience, and resilience.

These great fighters were tested time and time again, showing amazing tenacity and teamwork.

Whilst they may not have come home with the results they were hoping for, there is a new fire burning and the motivation to strive for excellence is stronger than ever.

Watch out for the new class of Knyaz UK

Months of sketches. Hundreds of penguins. One lino press. 🐧

@mattblease shares the illustration suite created for @penguinukbooks as part of the recent Penguin Random House visual identity refresh. The brief called for penguins that could live happily in a digital landscape while still carrying a warm analogue feel.
The answer was to go back to the printing press. Each penguin was cut in lino and printed by hand in the studio, a process that gives every character a texture and warmth that no digital tool could replicate. Playful penguins with a heritage touch, finally out in the wild.

Full case study on the new website very soon. 🤍✨

As always, it starts with a pencil.

A few (there were hundreds) development sketches from my latest project with @penguinukbooks

Ink on paper.

Although the @penguinukbooks Playful Penguins had to be happy living in a digital landscape they needed a warm analogue feel. My nod to the printing press, each penguin was cut out in lino and printed by me in my studio.
