It was truly a pleasure to play a hometown show last night. We brought the tunes, you brought the energy! Huge thanks to everyone who came out, @mcgarveysbar814 for having us, the awesome acts that played before us, @8.1.funk & @straightdecline, and the awesome crew of videographers who came out to film the evening! (@josephabritton @nikmikolajczyk @mindover_media_studios)

I’ve got a lot of footage to look through, not to mention mixing the live recordings, but I couldn’t help but to share this clip of Overlord with all of you!

Walkney has two awesome full band shows coming up in October. First up we return to 3dots in State College (Friday 10/16) to support our lovely new friend @lolitslea! We will be joined by the Pittsburgh pop punk heartthrobs @crashnebulapa & one of our favorite altoona bands @abstentious!

After that, we are bringing it home to @mcgarveysbar814 (fri 10/23) for our first full band hometown show in a year. We’re pleased to welcome @straightdecline to the motherland of @sheetz & @8.1.funk is going to make you dance right out of your shoes.

We’re filming both of these shows, so if you’d like the chance to be in a video, don’t miss these. Bring your energy, weird, crazy and wild. We’ll be bringing ours!

Tix for October 16th are available at walkney.com

“Getting rid of the fear of what other people think about my songs…”
.
.
.
It’s normal for us to fear the unknown. It’s scary to be as vulnerable as becoming a songwriter. To where your heart on your sleeve and not know what people will think.

But “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” - Marianne Williamson, 1992

Sometimes we don’t know how liberating it is to become who you truly are. Embracing a new side of yourself.

@domfrucellamusic talks about his journey into songwriting and music with us on his episode of Eighty Unplugged. Hear the whole story at the link in our bio 🔗

S/O to such a fulfilling friendship and origin with none other than multi-appearing guest and songwriter, @derekwalkney 🎶
