New age Logic suggests that “Poor people have chosen to be poor” it is their fault and we shouldn’t help them….💔

Kansas City, we need to talk.

Homelessness is more than a statistic. It’s a family in need of stability, a child who deserves security, and a person who needs an opportunity to begin again.🌱🏡

At Refuge Living, we believe everyone deserves more than survival. They deserve an opportunity to rebuild.
We’re working to make a difference right here in Kansas City, and we can’t do it alone.

Help us turn compassion into action. Support Refuge Living. 🌱 LINK IN BIO

47 years of REFUGE. 🥳💗

Happy Birthday @refugeeverywhere

We got to celebrate our legacy yesterday it was beautiful honoring our Pastor, my hubby @dericfields and also our founders the grandparents. Dr.Classie Brown and Elder Lee Chester Brown. We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for their sacrifice 💗💗

From 1979-2026 this is legacy.

And what a legacy 🤯

Two powerful preachers gave birth to a little girl named Lovely who would then give birth to Pastor @dericfields who also became a powerful preacher….what a legacy ❤️🙌🏾

Our church stands on the shoulders of two selfless individuals who were committed to doing the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We can’t honor where we are now without honoring what came before us. What was formerly known as Grace Temple #2 because House of Refuge to now The Refuge Kansas City. ❤️🌎

Refuge Everywhere let’s celebrate what the Lord has done!

We are so proud of our son. Mr.Jett Fields as all of his instructors call him 😂😭🥋

He has been so consistent with his Taekwondo Classes. He hasn’t given up and we have watched many children decide they no longer want to do it. He’s so strong and so brave and it is building so much character.

He’s not just practicing Taekwondo but he’s also learning the Korean language connected to it. ❤️ sometimes during belt testing we are on the edge of our seats as parents hoping that he does well especially when they ask him questions. He always knows the answers and it blows us away.

He has earned his black uniform which is by filling up a sticker chart of 50 stickers. And today he earned his little tigers blue belt which means he is one belt away from the real belting process 🥹🥰

Any families that are thinking about signing your children up in Taekwondo we can say it’s really good for discipline and structure. The curriculum is beautiful. 🙏🏾 GO JETT🥳 congrats son!!

Ministry Moment from our pastor 🔥 HOLY OR HELL? IT’S TIME FOR DELIVERANCE! ⛓️‍💥

It’s time to break free from bondage, tear down strongholds, renounce sin, and walk in true holiness! God isn’t just calling us to shout—He’s calling us to be SET FREE! No more compromise, no more chains, no more playing church!

📖 “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (KJV)

HOLY OR HELL? BONDAGE OR FREEDOM? THE CHOICE IS YOURS! 🔥

Welcome to Refuge Living. Where we have been housing those that are in need for the past 2 years. 🌱

While on this journey we have realized that our community has such a need that goes beyond just us. Not everyone in need is “bad” or on “drugs” but some just need an extra bit of hope and support to grow in the right direction. 💚🌱

We are hoping to raise $2K and beyond within 2 days will you support the cause?

There are families who need us the most and the only way we can support them is by the help of those that are also apart of our Kansas City Community. Let’s join in together and make our city BETTER. 🌱🥹
