Schpotlight on: @synergy.trilogy

“Recorded in a home studio in Melbourne, moving fluidly between dream pop, folk and gothic minimalism, the album assembles a sequence of songs and scenes threaded with poetry and dream logic, drawing together atmospheric synths, skeletal hooks, pulsating drum machines and intimate spoken-word exchanges into a world fully formed from the outset.

Songs dissolve into poems, spoken fragments into melody, leaving behind something that feels delicate and strangely immediate. Flitting between song and storytelling, the album unfolds with an airy romanticism that manifests as part love letter, part spell. They join a seemingly ever burgeoning Melbourne scene, sitting alongside contemporaries Who Cares?, Dregs and Prophetic Justice Ministry.

The duo's approach feels instinctive rather than referential, shaped as much by friendship, mysticism and dream writing as by any recognisable forebears."

DO NOT MISS the first act of the day at @strange_brew_briz for Schwetfest on the 20th June.

Also check the immensely comfy guestmix they did for our Noods show last week, perfect for riverside dozing...

Dusk2Dawn make an extremely rare live appearance Thursday May 21st to preview their forthcoming album ‘Make A Wish’ at Sean & Dolly’s in Kings Cross. The duo comprising of Jack Mannix & Finn Parker (Eternal Dust) make dizzying ethereal downer anthems, melting elements of shoegaze, witch house & dream pop into a slow motion cyclone of dissociative sounds. Supported by the goth-gabber-punk stylings of California Girls, Melbourne’s occult freak pop darlings Synergy Trilogy & the ambient alchemical magic of Szem, with DERO Arcade & Love And Pop DJs spinning tunes for spinning rooms. Tickets at the link in bio, poster by Jack Mannix 🌪️
