REFLECTING ON THE HOLIDAYS & A HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

Mr. Lobo is sending Lobo Mojo and Space Hugs to everyone this season but especially those who are struggling this time of year. Mass media indoctrinates many of us with high holiday expectations and at the same time mongers fear and feeds insecurities. All this on top of very real life challenges.

Whether you are alone or surrounded by folks or circumstances that make you feel alone…Mr. Lobo is rooting for you.

Give yourself the present of being present with yourself. Our feelings and needs are important and we should take care of ourselves and each other. Don’t be afraid to calmly and courageously stand up or speak up for yourself and others.

A new year brings new promises, but may I suggest that we go into this adventure following our hearts, striving for meaning, while enjoying the journey and not trying too hard to control the outcome. It has been a privilege and pleasure to create art, foster a community, help a few friends, connect with family and entertain you in 2025. It’s a treasure to feel support and love of so many and I am thankful beyond measure.

2026 marks the 25th Anniversary of Cinema Insomnia and my career/persona as Mr. Lobo…I’m looking forward to celebrating this milestone with all of you in strange and exciting ways!
