🗓️ Monday, July 14th
📍 @TheEnigmaHub – 7406 Grand River Ave
⏰ Doors open at 6PM | Show starts at 7:30PM SHARP
🎤 Hosted by @pthapoet
🎶 Sounds by @whotfisDG
✍🏾 Feedback by sharpeners: @DimoniqueBoyd & @SheezyBobeezy

This is not your average open mic. This is Sharpen My Pen— a curated space to grow your own and perform with a purpose

🧠 What’s the format?
The night is split into two parts:
📖 Read the Room – Light music, pens, paper, and discussion. This month’s theme: Do you know what an EPK is? Do you have a bio? How often do you present it?

🗣️ The Sharpening – A full showcase with sign-up slots available at the door. Each performer gets constructive feedback from the sharpeners and crowd. Then, to close it all out, each sharpener performs one fire piece of their own.

📋 How do I sign up?
A sign-up sheet opens at the door at 6PM. Advance tickets via Eventbrite are recommended—grab yours from the link in bio.

📸 Is the show filmed?
Yes! Every performance is recorded and archived by @sharp.pens. If you’d like the raw footage without logos, DM us—donations appreciated for editing, labor, and storage.

📱 Can I read off my phone?
You can. But come as prepared as you’d want to be on your dream stage. If phones or paper help you deliver your best, use them—but the goal is always elevation.

📝 This Month’s Sharpeners
🔥 @DimoniqueBoyd – published author, seasoned voice in the city
🔥 @SheezyBobeezy – founder of Detroit Poet Society, poet-DJ-educator, private workshop facilitator

🍽️ Food available for purchase
🖊️ Pens and paper provided
🧠 Feedback always included

This is the space where poets get sharper.
So show up, show out, and stay sharp.
