There’s just something about a good comb out 😮‍💨✨

Soft. Silky. Full of body, bounce & movement. 🤎

Because silky doesn’t have to mean flat. Sometimes we want the volume, the shine, and that “I just left the salon” movement. ✨

But the best part? The HEALTHY hair underneath it all. 👑

At Rooted in Divinity, healthy hair will always be the foundation—luxury care is just the experience that comes with it. 🤎

This one was so much bigger than hair. 🥹🤎

My client wanted to carry a piece of her son with her on one of the biggest days of his life—his wedding day.

Those locs you see attached to her hair? They’re his. 🥹

And I had the honor of helping her bring that vision to life.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Hair holds memories, history, connection and love. Sometimes I’m not just creating a style—I’m helping create a moment a family will remember forever.

Every crown carries a story, and I’m grateful you trust me with yours. 🤎

Men deserve real hair appointments too. 👑

Not just “sit down and let me braid it.”

A proper shampoo. Scalp care. A thorough blow dry. Healthy hair practices. Clean parts. Comfortable braids. And an experience where you can actually relax.

Because taking care of your crown isn’t just for the ladies. 🤎

I never want my chair to feel like just a hair appointment. 🤎

I want it to feel like a reset.

A place where you can exhale. Take a nap. Talk if you need to. Sit in silence if you don’t. Put your phone down, let somebody take care of you for a change, and leave feeling a little lighter than when you came in.

Yes, I want your hair to be beautiful. But more than that, I want you to feel cared for, comfortable, confident, and poured back into.

Because sometimes the reset you needed was already on your calendar. 🫶🏽

24 feels a little different when you realize you’re living in prayers you once whispered. 🥹🤎

This isn’t just about doing hair for me. It’s about the smiles, the confidence, the conversations, the safe space, and knowing that for a few hours, you get to simply be cared for.

Every beautiful face in this video is a reminder of why I started. 🫶🏽

The flat iron is just the finishing touch. 😮‍💨✨

A good silk press is built in the prep — the cleanse, proper moisture, heat protection, a smooth blow-dry, and intentional technique all matter.

By the time I pick up my flat iron, the foundation has already been laid. That’s how we get that silky finish, shine, body, and MOVEMENT without relying on excessive heat. 🤎

Because getting your natural hair straight is one thing… maintaining the health of your crown while doing it is another. 👑

Looking for a St. Louis silk press stylist who prioritizes healthy natural hair just as much as the finished look? You’re in the right chair. ✨

Everybody shouldn’t get the same size parts just because they booked the same size braids. When extensions are added, the amount of natural hair supporting that added weight matters.

If density isn’t taken into consideration, too much extension hair on too little natural hair can create unnecessary tension and potentially contribute to breakage.

So yes, I want my parts CLEAN 😮‍💨🤌🏾 but more importantly, I want them intentional.

Because a pretty style should never come before the health of your crown. 🤎

Just a girl who’s a little obsessed with hair 🤭✨
The creativity, the versatility, the transformations… yeah, this really is what goes on in my head all day. 😂

No one crown is the same, and that’s my favorite part. 🤎

Silk press season is approachingggg 😮‍💨🍂✨

Cooler weather = less humidity, longer-lasting presses, and that SILK hitting a little differentttt. 🤭

But around here, we’re not sacrificing healthy hair for straight hair. 💆🏽‍♀️ Every silk press is about proper cleansing, moisture, heat protection, a healthy trim, and getting you silky WITHOUT 10 passes of the flat iron. 👏🏽

Your crown can be healthy AND laid. 👑✨

Sometimes it’s not that you don’t care about your hair… you simply don’t have the time, knowledge, or routine that works for your life. 🤎

My client has a beautiful, full head of hair—but she’s also raising 4 boys, managing a business, and balancing a life that doesn’t leave her with hours to spend maintaining her own hair.

During our conversation, she also shared that she’s experienced hair shaming because of how much hair she has.

And that stuck with me.

No client should ever feel like they have to apologize for the amount of hair growing out of their head.

So before we chose a style, we talked honestly about HER reality. How much maintenance does she actually have time for? What can she comfortably do at home? How long does she need her style to last? And what style will allow her to feel put together without adding another responsibility to an already full plate?

That’s why I believe your lifestyle should be part of your hair consultation.

The goal isn’t just to give you a beautiful hairstyle.

It’s to create a hair routine that actually fits your life. 👑

Because your hair should be cared for—not made to feel like a burden.

Healthy hair > holding onto length that isn’t healthy. ✂️👑

Her nape had more breakage from repeated tension, but that doesn’t mean ALL of her hair needed to be cut to the shortest point.

I trim from the inside out—removing the breakage where it actually lives, preserving healthy length, and still shaping the hair so it looks good no matter how she chooses to wear it. 🤎

Now we’re giving that nape a break from the tension and letting her hair rest in these small boho braids. ✨

Healthy foundation FIRST. The cute style comes after. 👏🏽

Would you let me cut the breakage or are you holding onto every inch? 😂👇🏽
