Thank You Music Will Songwriting Exhibition for connecting our students with feedback from industry professionals like Tom DeSavia, Senior Vice President of A&R at Concord Music Group! We followed his suggestion by cutting another 30 seconds down to just under 4 minutes from the original 8 minute jam. It doesn't get any heavier than a drop C nuclear war protest song.

I already read the sequel to the book, Under the Big Black Sun by John Doe and Tom DeSavia a while ago. It’s called More Fun in the New World and it chronicled the LA punk scene from 1982 to 1987. So now it’s time to go back in time and dig into the OG bands of ‘77 to ‘82. #johndoe #xtheband #underthebigblacksun #tomdesavia #lapunk

Farewell 2025. Here are some of the high points: some really fun shows from NY to SF, performing with many friends and a few icons (looking at you, @joancbaezofficial and Mona Lisa), a couple of lovely recognitions (thank you @nammfoundation and @music_and_medicine), a few benefits (@mtf, @sweetreliefmusiciansfund, and @campaignlegal), a trip to Provence and Paris with my posse, and as always, hanging out in living rooms and airports, dressing rooms and stages, with our very own @johnleventhal. Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket to a show or bought a record or sent me a kind note. I’m tremendously grateful to—and for—all of you.
