i never got around to posting this but seeing as razz posted a nice video yesterday , i’ll share some bts he took whilst tuning some gemini’s . nice moments to look back on .

endless good times spent between these walls , often with good mates in company . chatting , listening to good music and making semi-decent boards in the process . here’s 1 minute of that captured by razz ; 🎥 me n’ @rileyjtconnelly a.k.a @desert__gallery .

ahh , my humble little bay at 5/10 elliot st , port elliot . two little rooms that have kept me very busy for almost three years now .

its hard to say / do this , but at the start of this month i handed in my 30 days notice and i’ll be moving out of this shed for the foreseeable future and moving onto a new chapter for SBS . this has been one tough decision to make . this space has grown , challenged and helped me for 7 days a week over the last two and a bit years . but as we know sadly , all good things must come to an end someday , times have been quite tough recently and things need to change in order for me and SBS to grow further .

over the years hundreds of repairs have been done by me in here , surfboards made from start to finish , lots of restorations have been done too but most importantly , many of my friends , old and new have spent days and nights in here with me , enjoying this space as much as i do on a daily basis and making memories inside of these walls . that has meant so much to me !

i want to personally thank ben from @yeohaus / @yeohaus.portelliot for letting at the time a small name in the industry have a chance at growing and honing in on their craft . it’s been a serious privilege running and operating my first ever shed and i’ll always remember this place as the one that started it all .

i also want to thank all of you , the people i’ve met along the way whether it’s the employees of yeo over the years , customers bringing me weekly work , locals coming by to chat about boards for hours , friends that fill the space on open mic nights and very importantly , the community of port elliot and surrounding suburbs for welcoming me with open arms whilst encouraging me every day . i’m proud to be a part of this community . and i’m proud to have helped this community in different ways over the years . i have hundreds of new friends and relationships that i wouldn’t have today if it weren’t for this humble little shed .

cheers to all who’ve been a part of this journey , you’ve all changed my life . i’ll be sad to leave this town .

in the coming weeks i’ll show the next chapter for me and SBS in SA .

the GEMINI ⋆ ♊︎ ˚.⋆
a new model i’m making in collaboration with @yeohaus !

i’ve been busy tinkering with these bars of soap for the past few weeks . they’re coming along nicely .

a demo 5’2 is pictured , with a 5’0 , a 5’4 & a 5’8 in production currently ; awaiting to be finished , showcased in store and up for grabs to the general public . keep your eyes peeled over the coming fortnight !

as a mini simmons / fish / bar of soap twin , the shape of these came to be from our first iteration , the yeo 10 year giveaway board which i also made . after good feedback we soon after decided that it deserves to be made into a model .

these go quick down the face , paddle fast off the mark and draw long lines for such a small board ( they go well with keels ) . plenty of volume carrying from nose to tail providing a surprising amount of buoyancy . all accompanied with the nostalgic decals of a holden gemini .

one done , three more to come , first in best dressed .
